WALTER Hagen, the world famous golfer for whom the tournament is named died of cancer in 1969. ON MAY 25 Mrs. Mitchell was the Queen for the Day at the Fremont School when she was honored at a special assembly. The children sang a specially arranged song Mrs. Mitchell to the music of Mr. Sandman. Later in the day the faculty honored her with a luncheon and presented her with flowers, framed snapshot sets of the school children and a beautiful tribute. Mrs. Mitchell began working at the South Clearfield School in 1959. It will also be made available in quantities to various key persons in flood areas for dissemination, according to VerNon Griffeth of Emergency Services. THE REPORT does not constitute application for emergency assistance, but will be used as a preliminary assessment of damages, Griffeth said. It will also be used to plan for any future emergen- cies.
