Show MARCH 9, 1983 society Open House Honor On 80th Birthday Lloyd A. Bishop, Kaysville, will celebrate his 8Cth birthday this month. A native of Kays-viH- e , he is the son of Amos and Lucy Smith Bishop. He was educated in Davis County Schools and the University of Utah. ACTIVE in church and civic affairs, he served one term at Kaysville City Mayor, 1954-524 years as a director of 'he Happy Birthday Kaysville Irrigation Company and ten years as Kaysville City Justice of the Peace. He was bishop of the Kays- this week, Birthday congratulations go out to five north county including one coming Thursday for Joshua Williams, son of Bruce and Jeanne Williams of 1297 E. 1375 N. in Layton; recent birthday celebrants are: Gregory Myers, son of Gene and Terrie Meyers of 542 Wasatch Drive in Layton, Jan. 2; Rachel Ann Bonebreak, daughter of Bill and Yvonne Bonebreak of 148 N. Village Way in Fruit Heights, Feb. 10; Tyler Grover, son of Kevin and Michelle Grover of 2238 S. 150 W. in Clearfield, Feb. 17 and April Elizabeth Stocks, daughter of Michael and Sherrie Stocks of 189 South Main in Layton. March 6. s, ville 3rd Ward for six and years. He also served an LDS mission to Hawaii for two on-ha- lf and one-hayears. Judge Bishop was called to serve as an ordinance worker in the lf Ogden LDS Temple for six and years prior to a second LDS mission with his one-ha- lf wife Florence, to the Washington D.C. Temple. He and his wife are presently serving in Emmett, Ida.; and Darrell F. Larson, Bountiful. He also has 18 grandchildren and 7 the Spanish Extraction program. HIS FAMILY invites all friends and associates to an open house in his honor on March 19 from 8 p.m. at the HE WAS first employed at Smith and Hart Chevrolet Company in Idaho. After returning to Kaysville, he worked 16 years wi'h the federal government and for another 23 years he was employed by the LDS Church as coordinator of the Salt Lake Welfare region. Prospective Eagle Scouts The Daughters of Utah Pioneers for Kaysville and Layton are looking for a boy working toward his Eagle rank who is in need of a worthwhile service project, especially one who has had some carpentry experience. THE LAYTON Heritage Museum has offered to store the past minute books of the camps, but a locked cabinet is needed. Hamilton, Layton, Heloyce was past council president and Region Three PTA director, and is presently secretary of the state PTA Board of Managers. MRS. HAMILTON has been compared to Alice McLellan Bimey and Phoebe Apperson Hearst, who in 1897 brought into being the national PTA organization, dedicated to guarding and promoting the welfare of children in the home, school, church and community. Council president, Edrice Christensen, Kaysville, at the monthly PTA Council meeting (Founders Day program), further commented about Heloyce, She works long and hard in behalf of children and youth. She has put in thousands of volunteer hours. A tireless, dedicated, inspired leader, she has shown us the vision that the founders of PTA had and challenges everyone she comes in contact with to carry on the spirit. THE DAVIS Central-Nort- h Council presented Mrs. Hamilton with an honorary Utah PTA life membership award and life pin. Eagles Plan Crab Dinner March 12th The Layton Fraternal Order of Eagles past presidents will sponsor the annual Cracked Crab dinner Saturday, March 12 with dancing to follow.
