Major Johnson has now retired from the service and they plan to make their home in Wichita, Kansas where he will be working for Boeing Company. They spent a week with her mother Mrs. Lavida Larkins and other relatives in the area before leaving for Kansas. Mrs. Johnson is the former Connie Larkins. Mrs. Robert Harris and daughter Noelle and Mrs. Janet Fullmre and granddaughter Shane spent the weekend in Idaho visiting with their mothers, Mrs. Harris and ELDER PRICE ELDER LARSEN Elder Grant David Price, son of Charles and Carol Ann Elder Brian W. Larsen, son of V. Jack and Judy S. Larsen, 1 149 S. 1200 E Clearfield, recently returned from the New York City, New York Mission. Price of 110 Aircraft Ave., Layton, has been called to serve an LDS mission in the Georgia-Atlanti- Mission c field. HE WILL be honored on Sunday afternoon at the Layton 12th Ward Sacrament meeting on March 13 at 1 p.m. The chapel is the Layton Holmes Creek Stake Center located at 125 Chapel St. Elder Price is a graduate of Layton High School class of 1982 and has received a certificate in printing from Utah Technical College. He has been employed at Prospector Printing Co. in Kaysville since his graduation. HE WILL speak at the Clearfield 11th Ward on Sunday, March 20 at 11 a.m. He is a Clearfield High and LDS Seminary graduate. He has attended Weber for one year. Mr. and Mrs. Allen L. Elder Meyer To Speak March 13th Elder Jim Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Meyer, returned home March 4 after serving an LDS mission in the Switzerland Geneva Mission. HE WILL give his mission experiences on Sunday morning, March 13, at 10:45 a.m. at the Layton Fourth LDS Ward Sacrament meeting. The chapel is located at 2120 W. Gentile Street, Layton. HE WILL enter the MTC in Provo on March 17. Thurgoods To Report Strong and their daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Todd Morgan and daughter Eli- zabeth of Fruit Heighs spent last week in Tucson, Ariz. as guests of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Fanner. Dr. and Mrs. Chris Merkley and two children Mark and Elizabeth of Rapid City, South Dakota arrived Friday en route to Boston, Mass, where Dr. Merkley will attend medical meetings. The two children remained in Utah with their grandpa- rents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Godfrey while their parents were in Boston. Monday visitors of Mrs. Goldie Ball were her brother and Mr. and Mrs. Percy Burnett of sister-in-la- Kem-mere- r, Wyo. Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 4 in Las Vegas, Nev. for Phyllis Jeffery who died Tuesday, March 1. Mrs. Jeffery was a former Kaysville resident and the wife of Lt. Col. (Ret.) Morey B. (Bud) Jeffery. Mr. and Mrs. William Packer spent the weekend in Moab with their son, Bishop and UR3 of Mr. and Mrs. Joe F. Preece. Mrs. Frances Umpleby is convalescing at her home after being confined to the St. Benedicts Hospital in Ogden for three and one-haweeks where she underwent major surgery twice during her stay. srarscD? lf Mr. and Mrs. Alan Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Stites and three children of Provo were Monday visitors oftheir grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Smith. ' Richard Green returned ELDER ANDERSEN Elder Kyle Andersen, son of Glenn and Carolyn Andersen, 671 N. Main, Kaysville, has accepted an LDS mission call to serve in the Brazil Sao Paulo North Mission. Michael William Brimley has just returned home after serving an LDS mission in Johanesburg South Africa. HIS HOMECOMING will be held on Sunday at 3:45 p.m. at the Layton Utah Stake Center on Gordon Avenue, Layton. Elder Brimley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brimley. He graduated from Layton High School and Seminary where he played football. Prior to his mission he attended Weber State College and was a member of the Weber State Singers group.
