SHE WAS born June 23, 1979 in Pontiac, Mich. She was a member of the Sunset 4th LDS Ward. SURVIVING are her parents and two brothers, Justin Brook Runyan and Nathan Forrest Runyan, all of Sunset. Also surviving are her grandparents, Maurice Runyan, Clarkston, Mich.; Mrs. Barbara Runyan, Waterford, Mich.; Loren Downing, Port Orchard. W'ash.; Mrs. Doris Downing. San Antonio, Tex.; her Mr. and Mrs. Frank Runyan, Pontiac. Mich, and Mrs. Ruth Bouck, Drayton Plains, Mich. M. (Martha) Breaid, Penleton, Ore. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday afternoon, in Mesa. Graveside services were held on Tuesday at the Kaysville City Cemetery with Pres. LeGrande H. Simmons of the Layton West Stake officiating. THE INVOCATION was given by a brother-in-laBishop Harry W. Porter, Ogden. Speaker was a cousin, Elmer D. Major. The grave was dedicated by Bishop Mike Jones of Ogden. Pallbearers were nephews, Alan Scoffield, Ryal Scoffield, Wally Ramsey, and John R. Cushing; and two grandsons, Dirk Hogan and Kelly Hogan. FUNERAL directors were HARRY HARLAND SIMMONS Harry Harland Simmons, 78, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Layton, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1982 of cardiac arrest, following an automobile accident to in Kanab. MILLER Funeral services were held Monday at a.m. in the Kaysville 4th LDS Ward Chapel for Mrs. Nora Scoffield Miller, 82, of 509 E. 250 N Kaysville, who died Friday, Sept. 24, 1982 in the McKay-De- e Hospital of causes incident to age. 1 1 SHE WAS born Nov. 24, 1899 in Kaysville, a daughter of Alfred and Emma Duke Scoffield. She was married to Darvel Ira Miller on March 20, 1918, in Farmington. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Dec. 3, 1961. SHE HAD worked as a station agent for the Bamberger Electric Railroad for 13 years. She has been Kaysville City treasurer for five years and had also worked at Stewarts Gift Shop for 18 years. She had lived in Clearfield for six years w hen she was first married, then moved to Kaysville where she resided until her death. School coordinator, and 0 SHE HAD held offices in the Kaysville Art Club, the Athena Club and the ALonas Club. Surviving are one son and one daughter, John D. LELA CARR WRIGHT She was a member of the LDS Church and had been active in the various auxiliaries. She was a former president of Mothers of Marines, Ogden Chapter. SURVIVING are his widow of Kaysville, two sons and two daughters, Don J. Carroll, Charlotte, N.C.; Robert H. Carroll, Mrs. Albert (Wilma) S. West, Mrs. Lyle (Linda) Keller, all of Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren; six and five greatgrandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Ivy Mudd, Denver, Colo. Carroll, 70, of 327 died Larkin Lane, Kaysvill Friday, Sept. 17, 1982 at the Davis North Medical Center of a heart attack. HE WAS born May 25, 1912, in Cuba, Mo., a son of Lester and Cora Mae Souders l. Cqr-rol- He married Eloise Sessions on May 28, 1936 in Ogden. HE HAD been a carpenter and had done a lot of carpentry work in Kaysville and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local No. 450, for 35 years. He had lived in St. Louis, Mo., during his earlier years, and had also lived in Chesterfield, Idaho, Yakima, W'ash., and had lived in Kaysville for the past 31 years. remarks, Bishop Hebdon. Mrs. Miller had been an active civic leader, serving for 20 years in the Davis County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Accident Claims Former Resident MR. SIMMONS was born Jan. 8, 1904 in Layton. He was the son of Alma Edward and Sarah Blanche Thomley Simmons. He married Mabel Porter on Sept. 22, 1930. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. For 30 years Mr. Simmons was associated with Tooele. Bishop James H. Brough of the Kaysville 4th LDS Ward officiated at the services. The funeral was under the direction of Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary. Burial was in the Kaysville City Cemetery.
