He will speak on Dec. 14 in the East Layton Third Ward Sacrament meeting at 9:30 a.m. The chapel is located at 2435 E. 1500 N. THE NEW elder is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Nielsen. 1664 E. 1000 N., East Layton. He graduated from Layton High and Layton Seminary. He has been active in his ward and held various positions. Lynn Alden Adams, son of Reed L. and Tommye Lou Adams, 268 E. Center, Kaysville, has been called to the Costa Rica San Jose Mission. The Kaysville 12th Ward Relief Society Christmas dinner was held Dec. 9. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ross of West Valley City visited Monday with her mother. Mrs. Maud Jones. a Christmas dinner and evening for all the w idows and singles in their ward on Tuesday evening. The dinner was held at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Keith Webb, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Palmer, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Roundy. After dinner they all attended the production "Christmas Carol" at the Promised Valley Play- house. Twenty-tw- o guests attended. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Phillips entertained at the Christmas dinner party for their family home evening group on Mon Angela McAllister Jones, age 7. died Dec. 1. 1980 in the Primarv Children's Hospital of leukemia. She was the daughter of Jonathan B. and Bonnie Me Aliister Jones of 439 N 8(H) E.. Kaysville. SHE WAS born August 2. 1973 in Fresno. Calif., had lived most of her life in Veranl before coming to Kaysville in . 1980 withherfamily. Shewasa member of the Kaysville 4th Ward and in the second grade at Burton Elem. School. KENNETH DRAAYER Celebrates 50th Kenneth J. and Ruth Briggs Draayer will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 17. Their sons and daughter will host a small reception for them at their home, 2484 W. 1800 N., Clinton, for family and friends on Dec. 14 from p.m. They were married Dec. 17, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and have resided in Clinton all their married lives. 4-- 7 MR. DRAAYER was born June 30, 1911 in Clinton. He served an LDS mission to the Netherlands and has served in the bishopric and was presi dent of the Clinton Town Board for two terms. He has been a farmer and rancher most of his life. Mrs. Draayer was born Sept. 15, 1911 in Syracuse. She has been active in all church organizations throughout her life and was a doctors receptionist for many years. THEY RAISED two sons and one daughter, Clark K. Draayer, Dennis B. Draayer and Linda D. Hogge. They have eight grandchildren. They ask that gifts be omitted. Ryan T. Jacobsen, age 16. son of Marvin and JoAnn Jacobsen of Kaysvills, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of Troop 360 of the Kaysville 17th Ward. Jim Mayfield was his scoutmaster. RYAN IS a student at Davis High and has been active in various leadership positions in his church. He is a member of the Priest Quorum. He enjoys hunting, fishing and camping and greatly enjoyed his back- packing trip with Troop 348 to the Wind River Mountains for one week. Let rise till double. MIX ALL together, place in crust, cover with top crust. Cover pie with tin foil. Bake 40 minutes at 425 degrees. Remove foil, brown. |
