Mrs. Faye Burraston and her sister Mrs. Dorene Kious of Payson vacationed for two weeks in California with rela- - her sister Mrs. Mane Perycain at Martinez, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Roundy attended her mothers funeral fives. Elder Arn Perkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Perkins, returned home Sept. 10 from serving an LDS mission in New Mexico. Elder Perkins will give his mission report Sept. 20 in the Kaysville 20th Ward at 12 noon. Mrs. Cora Green accompanied her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Haynes and their daughter Kristine of Layton on a trip to California. Kristine participated with the Pat Rhodes competition in Calif. Mrs. Green visited with (Mrs. Gladys Bennett) last week in Tremonton. Mr. and Mrs. Steven Rush-fort- h were guests in Magna Monday evening for the birthday of their grandson Christopher Hunt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Hunt. He was three years old. Mrs. Barbara Winkleman Dyal of Oakland, Calif., is moving back to Kaysville to make her home. She will reside at the Fairfield Farms Condominiums. Mrs. Winkelman previously lived in Kaysville. Dr. and Mrs. Scott Rush-fort- h of Albuquerque, N.M., spent a week in Kaysville with his mother Mrs. Knewell Rushforth and visited with relatives during their stay. Scott is teaching at the University of Mexico. Atty. Brent Rushforth of Potomac, Wash., also spent a few days with his mother while on his way to Hawaii on a business trip. Lt. Col. (ret) and Mrs. Leon Heaps and daughter Teresa and their two married daughters and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Matthew DeLong and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ayers, and Mrs. Heap's father Paul Homer of Palm Springs, Calif. , recently vacation in California. Mrs. Edith McLaughlin has returned home to Reseda, Calif, after spending two weeks in Kaysville with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John L. Kneedy and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Linn Sandall received word their grandson has received a mission call. Elder Kent Tolman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Tolman of Provo, will serve in Switzerland. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burraston attended the wedding and reception of their grand son Dick Barnes who was married to Kim Noorda Saturday evening. The garden reception was held at the home of Mayor and Mrs. Neil Noorda, Fruit Heights. Mrs. Cora Green and Mrs. Udell Green attended the funeral service of their aunt, Mrs. Dean DeHeer in Ogden last week. Ralph Layton was pleased to receive word from Las Vegas, Nev. that his son Donald Layton was sustained as bishop of the Las Vegas 15th Ward last week. His other son Richard Layton was sustained a member of the LDS Stake High Council. Both sons live in Las Vegas but are in different wards and different stakes of the church. Both are former residents of Kaysville. Mrs. Emily Ashby attended the wedding and reception of her grandson Craig Sahby and Kellie Ferrin on Saturday. Craig is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ashby of Centerville. Mrs. Afton McCormick attended the McCormick ladies luncheon on Wednesday in Salt Lake City at the home of Mrs. Ellen Ann Cline. The Special Interest of the Kaysville Second Ward met Thursday evening at the home of Lewis R. Pilkington. MR. AND MRS. Mitchell. Rites were perfomed by Judge White of Ogden at the White House Re- ception Center in south Ogden. PARENTS OF the bride are Val and Carlos Taylor, 2994 S. 2475 W., Ogden. The grooms parents are Eli and Dixie Mitchell of 1253 W. 400 N., West Bountiful. The bride was attired in a gown of terraced ruffles and full length veil of illusion in Chantilly lace. Burson of Sunset were Mr. and Mrs. Jan Van Nugteren of Deventer, Holland. Jean Burson and Adri Van Nugteren have been corresponding with each other for 34 years. They were matched as correspondents through a United Nations project not long after World War II ended. IN 1968, Mrs. Burson visited in Rotterdam with the Van Nugterens. Three years ago these friends were also guests in the Burson home. They drove over part of the Mormon Trail which leads into East Canyon and in that are they stopped to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Butter and family. The couple was married on June 26, 1980 in Germany. WILLIE WAS a Foreign Exchange student several years ago and lived with John and Dorothy Adams in Layton. He attended Layton High School. Mr. and Mrs. Tesch stayed with the Adams family for several days after their arrival in the U.S. Using the Adams car, they traveled 5,350 miles throughout the western states to the Canadian boarder. They spent time in Carson City, Nev. with Brian and Elaine Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Harris took them to many of the interesting Nevada tourist spots. THE GERMAN visitors visited San Francisco, Calif., Oregon, Washington and Montana. They traveled through the national parks in southern Utah and other places along the west coat. Mr. and Mrs. Tesch are both studying law in Germany. Mr. Tesch is training to be a judge. The visitors spent several more days with the Adams before leaving for Germany on Sept. 4.
