JULY 31, 1980 NORTH DAVIS LEADER, JULY 31, 1980 Debbie Linford To Tour With Music Group In Japan To Be Honored On 80th Birthday An open house reception will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 1980, from p.m. in the Fruit Heights LDS Ward Chapel, Mountain Rd., Fruit Heights, to honor Mrs. Hazel R. Warden. The occasion is in observance of her 80th birthday anniversary. 7-- 9 As a member of the Brigham Young University International Folkdance team. Miss Debbie Linford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Linford, will be touring through Japan in early August. Debbie was chosen from the club to join 31 other dancers for this tour. MRS. WARDEN spent her earlier life in Vermont and Boston and has resided in Fruit Heights for the past ten years. She has one son and three daughters, Dr. David R. Warden, Mrs. Marion W. Loesch and Mrs. Charles (Sue) Neal, all of Fruit Heights; Mrs. Joe S. (Helen) Black, Chester, Va. 'MRS. WARDEN is proud of her 16 grandchildren and nine most of whom will be with her on her special day. An active member of the Fruit Heights First Ward, she has been active in numerous community activities and is an avid reader of good books. She is an ardent sports fan. In Temple Wed MR. AND MRS. Cole-mer- e of Kaysville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Kauffman of Marian, Iowa. The wedding breakfast was held at the Valley View Golf Course in Lawton and the reception was held in the courtyard garden of the Rock Chapel in Kaysville. THE BRIDE was dressed in a gown of poly organza over taffeta. It featured a high neckline with a outlined by a lace deep ruffle and embroidered with pearls. The full bishop sleeves were accented with lace cuffs anf ruffles. The skirt was accented by a row and row of lace that extended up the back of the chapel train. The veil had a silk illusion accented by appliques and was attatehed to a lace crow n. The springtime bridal bouquet was done in pastel shades of roses, carnations, daisies and baby breath, encircled by a ruffle of lace. full-leng- MATRON OF honor was Mrs. Jerilyn C riddle. Cynthia is currently living on base with her family which includes three brothers and two sisters of which the youngest is three years old. SHE ENJOYS reading, skating, sw imming, crafts and sewing and creates most of her ow n clothing plus some for her family. DEBBIE LINFORD ber of the Drill Team All-St- and served a Davis High drill mistress, School where she also graduated as an honor student, received the OutstandingFine Artist award and two Outstanding Achievement scholarships. She has been working as a secretary and director of relicensing for the Motor V ehicle Business Administration in Salt Lake City, and will be returning to Provo to rehearse for her upcoming Japan trip. PREVIOUS TO their California tour, the Folkdancers performed at the Hotel Utah sesquicentennial grand ball and at Weber State College, where Debbie was noted as a soloist and group performer. She has also been serving as a social committee chairman for the team and will continue to help provide activities for other team members, as well as organize cultural exchanges with other dance groups. THE BRIDE wore a gown of white lace. It featured a sweetheart neckline and long sheer sleeves fitted at the wrist with wide lace trim. Her full flowing skirt extended into a chapeel train. She wore a white picture hat and her bridal bouquet was made of summer flowers. Matron of honor was Kevin Stromberg. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Cory Kennah and Jalaire Barton. SHE HAS been a member of the International Folkdancers for two years, and has already tour completed a through California last spfing. While in California, the performed at various universities, county Performing Arts Centers, Camp Pendleton and Disneyland. A highlight of the tour w as an evening spent with the Lennon Sisters as the featured performers in an exclusive CBS engagement for CBS Directors and Affiliates. '.? Merilee graduated from Logan High, was a member of the drill team, ZCMI Young-timer- s and was active in student affairs. She will graduate from BYU with a degree in dance. K.C. GRADUATED from Layton High and served amission in Uruguary and is now attending BYU and teaching at the LTM. After their marriage they will make a home in Provo and continue their studies.
