Elder Laird Alan White has accepted a mission call to the Netherlands Amsterdam Mission. He will enter the Mission Training Center on July 17. He is the son of Lt. Col. (ret.) and Mrs. Hal D. White, 450 E. 250 N., Kaysville. SHE IS now attending BYU after spending a mont visiting her family and friends in New Mexico. She will spend the weekend w ith her foster parents. Melvin and Charlotte Dahle in Layton. MR. AND MRS. WILLIAM PAUL CAMP Called To Serve William Paul and Dorothy M. Camp have received a call to serve a mission in the newly organized England Coventry Mission overwhich Pres. Quinn McKay will preside. THEY ARE scheduled to enter the Mission Training Center on July 16. Their missionary farewell will he held July 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holmes C reek Stake and Fifth Ward on Chapel Street, Layton. They have been serving the past 31 months as Ogden Temple ordinance workers. Ford To Fulfill D. L. LDS Mission Elder Dale L. Ford has been called to serve an LDS mission to the Costa Rica San Jose Mission. He will enter the Mission Training Center on July 17. He is the son of Fae Ford and the late William L. Ford. He was a finalist in the state Sterling Scholar competition and also represented Lav ton High at Boys' State. He was a commencement speaker at the graduation exercises and a member of the v earhook They are parents of three children. The Camps moved to Layton ten years ago where he owned and operated Pauls Shoe Repair. She is a former social worker. Both are now retired. e. Brimhall of Kaysville attended the Ole Nielsen family reunion held on Saturday, July 5 at the Layton City Park. Mrs. Leola Prigmore is now at home convalescing after being confined to the Davis North Medical Center in Layton for treatment for ten days. Mrs. Frank Larkins and children enjoyed a vacation trip to the east. Their children Laura, Jim, Lisa, David and - attended the funeral service of her granddaughter Connie Sue Higginson who was 14 years old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monte Higginson of Taylorsville. The services were held on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Purdy and son Russell have returned from a vacation trip for three weeks visiting in many parts of England and Scotland. Mr. and Mrs. Justin Barton and two children Heather and Brian are now in Utah for a months visit with both of their parents, Mrs. William Parker and Mr. and Mrs. Dale L. Barton and their families. After a months visit they, will be making their home in Rockford, 111. Mrs. Barton is the former- - Adeline Parker. Attending Basic Training The following service men are attending basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Lake City. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10 at the West Bountiful First Ward Chapel, 311 North 800 West. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Thursday a the ward one hour prior to the services. INTERMENT will be in the MARTHA EDMONDS Bountiful Memorial Park under the direction of Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. Martha Barber Edmonds, age 80, died July 6, 1980 at Lakeview Hospital. SHE WAS born May 21, 1900 in Kaysville to Harry and Irintha Maria Clark Barber. She married Raymond D. Edmonds, April 8, 1920 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Oct. 13, 1972. She was preceded in death also by three sons. She is survived by sons and daughters, Mrs. Berl (June) Cook, Cornish, Utah; Mrs. Charles (Donna) Gibbs, Bountiful; Mrs. Merlin (Rayone) Adams, Woods Cross; Mrs. Joseph (Beverly) Andersen, North Salt Lake; Horace Barber Edmonds, Salt Lake City;. i Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hyde attended a reception in Salt Lake City in the LDS Church Office Building where they honored the new LDS mission presidents. Their son, Elder George Hyde is serving a mission in the Washington, D.C. mission and his new president will be Elder Jon Huntsman. Miss Julie iCmose also was a guest at the reception with the Hydes. Mr. and Mrs. Don McGaffin and children Doug and Sherri have returned from a three week vacation trip to southern Utah and California. Time was spent in southern Utah on a business trip for Mr. McGaffin before driving on to California to spend their vacation time. They visited in Los Angeles and on to Redding to visit with his mother Mrs. Elinor Ragsdale. At Mount Shasta they visited with Neil and Linda Ragsdale. At San Jose they were guests of Ed and Carol Zollin. Mr. and Mrs. Zollin accompanied them back to Disneyland and Knott Berry Farm and other places of interest in the Los Angeles area. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Rose entertained at a family patio dinner on July 4 at their home. They were happy to have Mrs. Roetta Horsley as their guest. Mr. and Mrs. Casper G. Carroll were among the group of 120 guests who attended his military reunion at Boise, Ida., on June 27, 28 and 29. The reunion was for those who served with the 148th Field Artillery in World War II. Reminiscing, dancing and banquet was enjoyed by the 120 members and their partners. Mr. and Mrs. J.
