The couple will be making their home in Twin Falls, until fall, when they plan to move to Provo, where they will continue their education. e She was married to Earl son on April 16. 1906. Nel- Etta Lowry Andersen was honored on her 93rd birthday at a family dinner given by her children. Mrs. Andersen was born in Manti. Feb. 7. 1887 to John and Laurantze Lowry. SHE IS a member of the LDS Church and has worked in the Relief Society as a visiting teacher for 52 years, in the Primary presidency and as a teacher for 40 years. She was called to work in the Manti Temple and worked there for two years when the family moved to Price. She enjoys knitting, crocheting and embroidering. Beta Mu Chapter To Crown Valentine Queen Beta Mu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will crown their Valentine queen at a cocktail party on Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Williams of East Layton. MEMBERS AND their hus- - Golden A. Layton of 1994 W. Gentile. Layton, celebrated his 80th birthday Feb. 3. 1980. Friends and relatives called during the day Sunday to wish Mr. Layton a happy birthday. He was born Feb. 3. 1900 in Layton, a son of Charles A. and Victoria Walker Layton. He has lived his entire life on the Layton farm in West Layton. On Dec. 12. 1934 he married Julia Smith in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. of Taylorsville. Utah. The open house was for family members and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Johnson visited friends and relatives in Springville last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Howard of Kaysville: Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bona of Payson: Mrs. Irene Peterson of Santa-qui- n and Mrs. Jennie Ames of Salt Lake City were guests at a dinner on Sunday in Layton at the home of Mr. and Mrs. eonard Pitt. Carl Cottrell has been confined to the Lakcview Hospital in Bountiful the past three weeks undergoing treatment. He has been very ill. George Heywood returned home Jan. 29 from the St. Mark's Hosptal in Salt Lake Citv w here he was confined for the parents of two boys. Ronald S. Layton. Layton, and Dean S. Lay ton. Phoenix. Ariz. They have four grandchildren. He worked at Hill AFB and retired from civil service. THE CHAPTER members have completed their annual service project with Dorothy Larkin and Barbara Iverson as cochairmen. Three layettes have been donated to the Davis North Medical Center for new mothers that have come to the hospital without clothing for their newborn. A crocheted afghan was also donated by Dody Milligan to be used in the nursery at the hospital. Mary Ann Bundy has been chosen to represent Preceptor Iota Chapter. In December, their busiest 5 Mr. and Mrs. James LaCombe of Farmington have been called to serve an LDS Mission to the Mississippi Jackson Mission. Their Sacrament meeting Marie Mathill of Rawlins. Wyo. While here they visited with Mrs. Haynes w ho is ill in a Salt Lake City hospital. Miss April Butters gave her mission report on Jan. 27 in the Kaysville 8th Ward Sacrament meeting. She served in the New York Mission. She suffered a leg injury and returned home for treatment. She was later sent to the California Mission to complete her service. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Moline and children have moved to Little Rock. Ark., where he was transferred w ith his job. Mrs. Lona Mae Godfrey returned from Royal Oak. Mrs. LaCombe will be remembered as the former Helen Barlow of North Farmington by her many friends in this area.
