It is an annual city party for all residents of Fruit Heights and has been held the past 25 to 30 years. Each family brought their own lunch and the city furnished the pies and watermelon. Syndergaard, has announced her engagement to James Ashauer, son of Mrs. Nada Ashauer and Fritz Ashauer. THE COUPLE will be married on October 9 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They will be honored that evening with a reception at the Eldredge House in Bountiful. The bride is a graduate of Davis High School and the Kaysville LDS Seminary. Mr. Halliday, an Eagle Scout himself, has given many years of service to the scouting program, as scoutmaster, Explorer adviser, and merit badge counselor. He served a stake mission for the LDS Church and has been high priest group leader, assistant group leader and secretary. THEY ARE the parents of two sons and three daughters: Mrs. John Chesley (Marion), Roy; Marvin L. Halliday, Kaysville; Gerald E. at the ceremonv. MR. AND Mrs. Halliday were married Sept. 4, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After a honeymoon vacation in Utah, the couple returned to California where they lived for 17 years, moving back to Kaysville in 1946. The son of Stephen Eli and Agnes Simpson Halliday, Edwin M. Halliday was born June 14, 1908 in West Point. He has had his own plumbing mail carrier for over the bride of Leo Wayne Eastman, II in rites performed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Kendall D. Ruffles and inlaid lace, accented with pearls covered the shoulders and the sleeves. She carried a bouquet of peach roses, yellow daisies.
