He had served as superintendent of the Clearfield Stake Farm, George E. Briggs Succumbs At 94 George Edward Briggs, 94, of Bountiful, died May 10, 1979 at Lakeview Hospital. Briggs and was a licensed mortician for Davis County. He also managed a farm. and Mary Evans Briggs. Married Cora Barlow on March 31, 1906 in the Salt, Lake Temple. She died Jan. 3, 1978. SURVIVORS include three sons, Louis Briggs, Seattle, Wash.; Barlow Briggs, Salt Lake City; Charles R. Briggs, Ogden; two daughters, Mrs. Weldon (Mary) Roberts, Lay-to- SERVICES FUNERAL were held on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Syracuse Utah Stake Chapel with Bishop Grant M. Mrs. West had been active in the Ogden 38th Ward and a member of the Relief Society Singing Mothers Chorus and graduate of Weber High School, Ogden, and a 1977 graduate of Mesa Junior College, San Diego, Calif., with an Associate of Arts degree, he joined the Navy in August 1954. While at Ricks College, she served as a counselor and subsequently as president of the Relief Society in one of the college wards. While in Salt Lake City she served on the stake Young Adults Relief Wil-co- Salt Lake Temple and LDS daughters, HE WAS born Nov. 11, 1911 in Dewey, Okla., a son of Bartolo and Mary Magana.
