Exhihili l?aiinil!mS Beginning Monday, June 21st, an exhibit of paintings by Gregory Hull and Susan Fleming will be in the Foyer Gallery at the Davis Complex, 197 East 500 South. Greg and Susan will be teaching for the Bountiful Art Center summer quarter. The exhibit will run through Friday, July 2nd. In connection with the exhibit, on Friday, June 25, Greg Hull will give a demonstration of portrait painting at 5:00 p.m. at the Davis Complex. Following the demonstration, a reception for the artists and the public will be held at 6:00 the Complex. p.m.-a- t be teaching Portrait Painting and Still Life Painting; Susan will be teaching Beginning and Advanced Painting, both credit and painting and and drawing studio for youth. Summer quarter classes will be starting the week of June 28. A full schedule of regular courses will be offered, and in addition, several classes will be offered for the first time: Leaded and Stained Glass, to be taught by Ron Nolte, an art history h class by Mary Succeedand Impressionism ing Trends; an intermediate photography class by Ron Hyman; Ceramics: Raku Workshop by John and Diane Shaw. Also, for summer quarter only, classes for children and young people will be offered, including GREG WILL Childrens Art Workshop, Ceramics for Youth, and beginning Wednesday, June 23rd, Photography for Youth. A - A native of Lima, Peru, was commissioned here today into the U.S. Air Force Medical Service as a major. DR. RENE A. Oliveros, of 1762 East Juniper, Layton, Utah, was sworn into the Air Force by Lieutenant Colonel John E. Touhey, commander, U.S. Air Force Hospital, Hill Air Force Base. With extensive background in internal medicine and cardiology, Dr. Oliveros is being assigned to the Air Forces largest hospital, Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Oliveros will be working in the cardiology section. A NATURALIZED U.S. citizen since 1975, Dr. Oliveros came to the United States in 1966 to complete his internship. Upon graduating from the State University of Utah, College of Medicine, Salt Lake City, on a fellowship. There he met Ruth Dietz, whom he married a year later, 1970. Today, their Ruth,, daughter Elizabeth, 4; son David, 2; and son Robert, 1, stood by Dr. Oliveros side as he took the commissioning oath.
