GUNNISON-Babi- es 1991 . P After Larry achieved his masters degree, he and his brother Chris both went to Russia for a year of schooling. Larry went to Moscow and Chris to a more pleasant place in Siberia called Krasnayarsk. Chris reported it to be like Salt Lake City in size and climate. The people were friendly too, for not having met many Americans. Larry came back in 1995-9- 6 and took care of his parents farm while they served an LDS Mission in Navoo, after which, he went to school once again for his doctorate at BYU, receiving that in 1999. He now teaches college in Kingsville, TX, at an extension of Texas A&M. He lives in Bishop, TX, 30 miles from Corpus Christi, TX. Michael Peel Michael achieved both his BS in 1991, and Masters in 1993, at USU in the field of plant genetics and he chose the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, MN, to finish up his schooling to receive a PhD in barley genetics in 1996. He first worked at North Dakota State in wheat production where he was an extension helper to the wheat farmers. Then two years ago, he was in hired by the USDA-AC- S research a as geneticist. Logan Glen, Dale and Michael all found their wives at USU; Dale, Larry and Michael were all graduates from Snow Col- lege. Not to be out done, the three living daughters of Paul and Frances have also graduated from college. Sylvia graduated from bom in the Gunnison Valley Hospital are as follows: A Feb. 9 A girl, Kalli Moss, was bom to Karlton and Vicki Moss, Manti. Feb. 11 girl, Bryndee Marie Childs, was born to Gary and Anne Childs, Gunnison. Christian Peel BYU in 1986. She now lives in Ogden with her family. Amelia graduated from Snow College in 1993. From there she went to USU. Her family of three and being a mom has now taken precedence over college work. Her husband, Jason Hmst, Grantsville, graduated from USU in 2002. Gayle, the youngest daughter, graduated from Snow in 1997 and she and her husband, Andrew Jackson, graduated together from Southern Utah State University, Cedar City, in 2001. He is the owner of Horseshoe Mountain Hardware, Mt. Pleasant. Dale Peel Second son to the Peels, Dale, graduated with a BS degree from USU in 1985. Interested in a life of art, he enrolled in the Claremont Graduate, a liberal arts college, in Claremont, CA. He received what was called a masters degree in art there in 1986 but found out it was equal to a PhD in work. It was the highest degree they gave in art. Dale owns the Peel Furni- ture Works, Mt. Pleasant. Larry Peel Larry received his BS degree at USU in 1987. From there he went to Virginia Tech to earn his masters degree in Crib Corner & Hospital Births eEdiancs x x VOICE brother, Glen, were there along with the doctors over his studies at BYU and about 30 other students of the engineering department at BYU. Chris earned his bachelor of science degree from Utah State University (USU) in 1993 and received his masters in 1999, after which, he went to BYU to achieve his doctorate. He is currently employed at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, where he says he is teaching them knowledge that will be come usable in six years. Chris received a patent with a New Jersey firm on how to put four lines of communications on one cell phone line. Other Peel siblings have achieved great success in their lives as well. Glen Peel The oldest of Paul and Frances Peels sons, Glen, started the tradition of higher education in their family. He and graduated from North Sanpete High School. She married Ted R. Mower, Sept. Mi at and two (BYU) in Provo. Goldie Goldie has spent her entire life serving others. She enjoys quilting, sewing, cooking and makes the best chocolates in the world. Her children will honor her She spends many hours crocheting afghans and hanger covers to give to family and friends. Love for her family, the gospel and friends are the essence of her life. PLEASAN- T- On 18, 1924, in Fairview. She was the oldest child of George Que and Goldie Terry Tucker. Goldie grew up in Fairview (Chad) served in many church callings. She served in leadership positions in the Relief Society, Young Womens Mutual and the Primary. She served for many years as the Spring City First LDS Ward librarian and was released at age 84. She served as a faithful visiting teacher until the winter of 2003 and is currently serving as a visiting teaching supervisor. Over the years, Etha has had many interests and hobbies. Janet of the LDS Church and has Son continues legacy Goldie Mower celebrates 80 years FAIRVIE- famSPRING CITY-T- he ily of Etha Hansen encourage everyone to attend an open house in celebration of her 90th birthday, Saturday, Feb. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Spring City LDS Ward. Etha was born Feb. 21, 1914, to William and Mary Shaw in Aurora. She was the third oldest of 10 children. Etha married Lowell F. Hansen, Dec. 23, 1938, in the Manti LDS Temple. He passed away April 2, 1998. Together they raised five children. Lorell Hansen (deceased); Quay (Kris) Hansen; Linda (Clyde) Johnson, both Spring City; Marilyn (Kim) Jensen, Park City; and Kent Hansen, Nephi. Etha has seven grandchildren; three 12 great-gregrandchildren; Etha is an active member will be held immediately after the wedding ceremony. The bride is currently employed at Wal-Mar- t.
