Brough, one of the presidents of the Seventies, and Carl W. Bacon, of the Utah South Area Authority, a new stake was created in the Mt. Pleasant, Utah LDS Stake and two new stake presidencies were sustained Sunday, March 16. The new stake, the Mt. Pleas- ant Utah North Stake, will consist of the four wards in Fairview and Mt. Pleasant First and Sixth Wards. The Mt. Pleasant Utah Stake will consist of the two wards in Spring City and Mt. Pleasant Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth wards. The boundary is 100 North, Mt. Pleasant. The new stake presidency of the Mt. Pleasant North Stake is Warren Benincosa, Fairview, president; John Parry, Fairview, first counselor; Kevin Stallings, Mt. Pleasant, second counselor. The new stake presidency of the Mt. Pleasant Stake is George W. Johanson, Mt. Pleasant, president; Earl J. Clark, Spring City, first counselor; Kenneth D. Additional stake officers will be called to fill vacancies created in each stake by the division. "Kirkmount", a Scottish band, will return to Spring City for an evening performance at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 22, at the Spring City Hall, 150 East Center Street. The benefit con- cert is for the Latvian Student Scholarship Program at Wasatch Academy. Cancer clinic to be held April 3 James Arrington to play Brigham Live during Pioneer Day celebration MORON- I- A cancer screening clinic for women, sponsored by the Utah Cancer Control Program, is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 3 at the Moroni LDS Stake Center, 82 North Center. Appointments are necessary. MT. PLEASAN- T- "Brigham Live," will be presented by James Arrington at Mt. Pleasants annual Pioneer Day celebration to be held Saturday, March 22, at the LDS Stake Center. A luncheon will be served at noon. The clinic includes a blood pressure check, a Pap test, pelvic and breast examination, and a mammogram voucher for those Examinaeligible, and follow-utions are provided by female screeners. A fee ranging from nothing to $25 will be charged, based on age, income and family size. The Utah Cancer Control Program is sponsored by the Utah Department of Health and participating local health departments, and is affiliated with the Utah Division of the American Cancer Society. p. "Brigham Live, is a culmination of thousands of hours of careful research of diaries, letters and speeches recorded during Brigham Youngs life as well as many papers and biographies written since his death. Much of the research has recently been developed shedding light on the character and personality of this man. The audience will visit Brigham Young as he recounts the major events in his life and comments on polygamy, tobacco. Westward trek, and other topics. He displays the qualities that made him a powerful leader, endeared him to his followers, and caused him to be feared and misunderstood by his enemies. Arrington rounds out the performance by taking questions from the audience. "Brigham Live" is an indepth look into the life of Brigham Young through the eyes of noted Utah playwright, James Arring who gleaned his script from 30,000 personal letters as well as seven biographies and autobiographies. Arrington focuses on the life and times of a man he feels was a great leader, a colorful man whom most people consider autocratic but who actually had a very endearing character and wry sense of humor.
