Show First presidency issues message of good cheer At this beautiful and glorious season we celebrate the birth of die Holy One of Israel-th- e Lord Jesus Christ. His birth, heralded by angels, had been revealed to Prophets in ages past. Perhaps the most meaningful of those prophetic declarations concerning the Saviors pending birth came from the Lord Himself when he told the Prophet Nephi: "Lift up your head and be of good cheer; for behold, the time is at hand, and on this night shall the sign be given, and on the morrow come I into the world." (The book of Mormon-anothtestament of Jesus Christ, 3 Nephi 1:13). Almost twenty centuries have come and gone since the Savior s birth and today, as then. He encourages all people to "be of good cheer" (Doctrine and Covenants 78:18). We echo the words of the Lord and testify of his Divinity and that He is the author of our eternal salvation. This is the message of joy "that shall be to all people." (Luke 2:10). May we find such as we abide by His teachings and serve with love our fellow joy beings. May peace be with you during this blessed Christmas season and may you and yours have a New Years filled with joy and peace. Dianna Parry, who transports mail for the postal service, noticed flames coming from the barn. She alerted the fire department and the homeowners. Mrs. Grimm stated that a brooder light was used in the barn to keep their rabbits, potbellied pig and a small calf warm. She believed the calf kicked the brooder light causing the fire. Lost in the fire were two rabbits, with a litter, and a four- - Training to be held for foster parents Family Service office. Training is provided through family services and licensure is through the Division of Licensing. Many of these children are in care for only a few weeks, some for years. The Center for Youth Law, state legislature and the division have guidelines for the care of these children and their safe return home. Policy states that "child placement services may be provided when parents are unable to meet their childrens needs within the family. The division has authority to place a child when the state has been granted custody through a court order, or when a voluntary agreement has been signed by the parents or when the child is from another state and is covered by the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children. The intent of foster or group care is to ensure a permanent home for each child. That may be achieved through a return to the home, or through adoption, emancipation, guardianship, or permanent foster care services." Foster homes are licensed in accordance with R501.12 of the Utah Code. Wishing you all some good clean fun and a very, merry holiday season.
