Show December 25, 1996 - The Pyramid - Page Three I wmsm AN PETE Roger, Lila Allred to celebrate golden anniversary Local artist completes work for regional tourism SPRING CIT- Y- Roger and Lila Allred will celebrate their 5oth wedding anniversary on Dec. 27, 1996. They are long-tim- e residents, and are active in church, civic, and school affairs. Roger served as elementary principal and teachef for 34 years, as well as church callings of stake president, bishop, and currently as patriarch. Lila has served in Primary, Relief Society, and Sunday School, and as Spring City Treasurer for many years. The couple have five children, Margo, Leslie, Julie, Neola, and Whitney; and five EPHRAI- M- Daniel Vincent, a graphic artist from Spring City and owner of '.he Village Press, Mt. Pleasant, has recently completed art work for the Sanpete Regional Heritage Tourism Project. According to the Project Chairperson, June Crane, the ad layout by Vincent will appear in two major publications, American Heritage magazine and the Utah Travel Guide. "American Heritage magazine reaches a dedicated group of subscribers whose age, income level, and interest correspond with what Sanpete Valley offers in heritage tourism," Crane said "and the Utah Travel Guide is a publication of 400.000 issues distributed to people who visit Utah. Crane noted that the Sanpete Regional Heritage Tourism Project, which has Council and Action Team members representing Sanpete County, Mt. Pleasant, Spring City, Ephraim, and Manti, recently completed its Action Plan and is engaged in projects ranging from marking the battle sites of the Blackhawk war and preparing a TV documentary, to designing and installing kiosks and interpretive signs. Chairperson Crane said that copies of the Action Plan are available at the Sanpete County Office of Economic Development, the County Commission Office, and the city halls of the four participating cities.
