PLEASANT One hundred thirty-seve- n seniors and four juniors will receive diplomas at the annual North Sanpete High School commencement exercises, Friday, May 24, at 7 p.m. "Tomorrow," is the theme for the event which will be held at the school. The welcome will be given by Daniel Madsen, senior class president. Talks will be given by honor students on a variety of subjects: Maria Cook, "Home and Family"; Rachael Syme, "Religion"; "Patriotism"; Alyson Aagard, Maggon Palmer, "Education"; Kaelynn Hansen, "Future"; Jamie Beckstrom, "Goals"; and Naomi Miner, "Retrospection of high school years". Graduation party set Fri., May 24 MT. PLEASAN- T- A graduation party for the studentbody of North Sanpete High School will be at 9 p.m., Friday, May 24, at Snow College Activity Center. Sponsors of the party are Central Utah Mental HealthSub-stanc- e Abuse Center, North Sanpete School District, Snow College, Pepsi, local businesses, cities and many individuals. For a small fee, swimming, roller basketball, racquetball, skating, and volleyball are some of the activities for teens to enjoy. Sandwiches, chips, soft drinks, vegetable trays and cookies will be available. Breakfast will be served at approximately 2:30 a.m. at the Snow College Cafeteria. Approximately 12 structures, most within walking distance (except one which is about miles south of town) will be waxed, polished, painted and on display for visitors. Local musical artists will entertain at the beautiful LDS Chapel. Times will be posted in the foyer of the church. The days activities will begin at 7 a.m. with a firemans breakfast at the fire station. Prelude music will be presented by the Manti High School Orchestra under the direction of Roseann Higham. The welcoming address will be given by Shauna Rasmussen. Starting on Friday, May 24, in the Ephraim Social Hall there will be a Centennial dance and a European polka band at 9 p.m. The dance will have something for everyone from polkas and waltzes to contemporary dancing. On Saturday, May 25, be sure to stop by the Snow College campus, Ephraim City Square and the rodeo grounds for all the exciting events. The Ephraim Coop will be having events throughout the day including the Philips Family Fiddlers. The parade will be Saturday at a.m. and Gerald Day, Snow College president, will be the grand marshall this year. The Utah Highway State Patrol will be demonstrating their skill with a precision bike riding exhibition in the parade. Everyone is welcome to celebrate die rich heritage of Ephraim during Scandinavian 11 MORON- I- Eighth grade closing exercises at North Sanpete Middle School will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 23, in the gymnasium.
