PLEASAN- T- A new Halloween activity, The Pumpkin Patch, will be available for area families to enjoy this year, Oct. l26, to Oct. 31, 7 to 10 p.m., except Sunday, thanks to some enterprising residents and the Mainstreet Project Committee. The Pumpkin Patch, a happy .Halloween place, will feature ' different scenes of pumpkins 'dressed as people and animals for Little Spooks and Goblins. The Pumpkin Queen and Wicked Witch will also be appearing. '! Halloween stories by the . bonfire, a maze and small concessions will also be available. ' Admission to The Pumpkin Patch vis free. In conjunction with The Pumpkin Patch, The Mainstreet Project is also sponsoring a draw and color contest for all elementary students. Entries will be available through the schools or at The Pyramid office, and must be turned into participating local merchants by Friday, Oct. 30. Winners will be awarded cash , prizes and have their winning entries carved in a pumpkin and displayed at The Pumpkin Patch. Fountain planned a party recently Green Senior Citizens. Guitarist to perform concert, convocation EPHRAI- M- Chris Proctor, Flying Fish and Windham Hill recording artist, and former U.S. National Fingerstyle Guitar Champion, will perform a concert of his own and others guitar on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m. in the Snow College Music Building recital hall. He will also play for the Oct. 26 convocation in the Crane Theater at 12:30. Proctor, one of the countrys most acknowledged performers g and composers for the guitar, has toured the U.S., Canada and Mexico, has released five recordings of his original compositions and arrangements and three books of his transcriptions. He has taught his techniques through hundreds of guitar work com-positio- ns steel-strin- shops and through authoring numerous articles for guitar, publications such as "Acoustic Guitar" and "Fingerstyle Guitar". His compositions are noted for their lyricism and strong melodies, while his guitar technique is set apart by his extensive use of alternate tunings and by : his pioneering applications of mutes, slides, partial capos and the electric violin bow.
