Mexican consulate presents Spanish books to library EPHRAIM Raul Lopez Lira and others of the Mexican Consulate in Salt Lake City will present 200 books written in the Spanish language to Ephraim Public Library May 17, at 6 p.m. The Mexican Government has donated a wide selection of books which have been carefully selected to cover a broad area of interests including: general reference, social sciences, science, applied science, handicrafts, cooking, sports, literature, geography and history. The books presented by Lira will round out a collection that Ephraim Library currently holds and has been developing this year. The librarys current collection includes primarily childrens and young adult literature. "We have learned that many individuals in Sanpete County are looking forward to being able to have access to this library, some because they lived in Spanishspeaking countries and wish to continue to practice using their language skills", says Joanne Taylor, Ephraims librarian.
