Jean Dye SPRING CITY Services were held March 3, at the Spring City Second LDS Ward for Jean May Baxter Puzey Dye, 98, who died on Feb. 27, 1995, in Orem. She was bom Jan. 13, 1897, in Spring City, to John Robb and Janet Gardiner Jack Baxter. She married Albert Edward Puzey, Jan. 27, 1944, in Nephi. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple Feb. 20, 1953. He died Apr 6, 1955. She married Robert J. Dye in Manti, on May 1, 1962. He died Nov. 12, 1971. She was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed doing geneology and temple work. She served as Era director. Relief Society magazine representative, and was a visiting teacher for over 30 years. She sang in the ward choir and donated beautiful embroidery work for the Relief Society, her family and friends. She served as captain of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and received commendation as a living daughter of an original pioneer, her father, John Robb Bax- ter. She is survived by two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her son Jack, four brothers: John, William, Thomas, and Alma who died in two sisters: infancy; Jessie, who died in infancy and Jessie MiAlso nerva Schofield. several survived by nieces and nephews. Burial was at Spring under City Cemetery direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home. |
