The first Probate Judge of that county, he held the office for five years. great-grandfath- er Alice is also a granddaughter of Christian Frederick and Mary Miranda Seely Peel, also Mt. Pleasant pioneers. Her grandfather, Henry Ericksen, established Ericksen Meat and Grocery which was built where The Pyramid is now located. The daughter of Peter Azel and Mary Margaret Ericksen Peel, she grew up in a small home west of Mt. Pleasant and remembers helping her father make 20,000 adobes, half of which were sold in order to hire a mason to line their home with the remaining 10,000. She had three sisters, Margaret, Lois, and Barbara; all of whom passed away with cancer when they had young families. She married Neil N. Hafen, June 20, 1934. He managed the Conoco station and farmed for a living. He died April 5, 1989. They have two sons, Donald N., Provo, and Peter L., Mt. Pleasant. She has a talent for music which she has shared throughout her life in school presentations, church callings and at many funerals. She is described as a thoughtful person who is always serving, giving, and thanking the ' mas, presented each of her two sons with a beautiful album that took her over a year to compile; Good Lord for the ability to do so. A gifted historian, her a daily journal contains many events which no one else botherd to record. She is a talented cook and homemaker, and this past Christ filled with mementoes such as certificates, photos, and newspaper articles marking their accomplishments and special events. Johansen ConEPHRAIstruction Company (JCI) of Mt. Pleasant, was one of a number of area businesses and community leaders honored at the fifth annual Six County Economic Development District (SCEED) and Panoramaland Resource Conservation and Development Council (RC&D) recognition and installation banquet held Feb. 22 at the p Building here. JCI was honored for the significant employment they create and the economic strength the construction company provides to Sanpete County. The Johansens Horseshoe recently opened Mountain Lodge, a luxury travel lodge, located south of Mt. Pleasant on Highway 89, to provide much needed accommodations for area visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Johansen, owners, accepted the award which was presented by Sanpete County Commissioner Robert M- Co-o- Mr. and Mrs. Vem Fisher, Mt.
