Show TaNeal Lusty weds Wayne Nunley in Manti LDS Temple i ; November 16, 1994 - The Pyramid - Page Three ; I ; : Chamber orchestra in concert I MANT- I- Lynn and Edda Cox will be honored with an open house to celebrate their 50th anniversary on Friday, Nov. 18, 4 to 8 p.m., at the Manti LDS Stake Center. Lynn was bom and raised in Manti. He attended Snow College and BYU before leaving to serve his country in the armed forces. The Coxes met in Spokane, WA, while Lynn was stationed at Ft. George Wright and they were married Oct. 11, 1944, in the Cardston Alberta LDS Temple. Shortly after their marriage, he was sent overseas to Japan, and Edda worked in Spokane for the Spokesman Review newspaper. The couple moved to Manti after his discharge, where they have lived for the past 48 years. Lynn began working for his father at the Manti Garage, then bought out his fathers gas distributorship and started delivering Phillips 66 petro- leum products throughout Sanpete County. He has been active in many civic organizations, such as the American Legion, MIBA, Jaycees and Club. He has also served in many ; the Lyons LDS Church ward and stake callings, r Edda was bom in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, and her family moved to Spokane when she was nine. She kept the books for the couples businesses and worked at the Manti Senior Citizens Center I' when Lynn retired. She has been active in community organizations, : I such as the American Legion Auxiliary, Ladies '.I Literary Club, Activity Club and the DUP. She I; has also served in many LDS Church ward and I; stake callings. In 1953 they were the first couple in the South Sanpete LDS Stake to receive the Master Wayne Nunley and TaNeal Lusty ' Daniel and Maxine Daniels, of Mt. Pleasant, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Nov. 17, 1994, at their home with their families. Among the selections to be performed are the Vivaldi Concerto for two violins, featuring Kelly Jeppesen and Dennis Hansen as soloists and a premiere performance of a work by prominent Utah composer, Crawford Gates. Also featured on the program will be the theme from "Schindlers List". The couple will be honored at a reception that evening from 6 to 8 oclock in the Spring City LDS Chapel building, 164 S. Main. The bride graduated from North Sanpete High School. . The bridegroom graduated from North Sanpete High School and served an LDS mission in Hali-- ; fax. Nova Scotia, Canada. The couple will make their home in Mt. Pleasant. and Golden Gleaner Awards, and have served as ordinance workers in the Manti LDS Temple for the past nine years. The couple maintain a beautiful yard and garden, and among their favorite past times are the "work missions" they perform with their family.
