Christiansen, Moroni; Judy L. Christiansen, Fountain Green; and the late Phyllis G. Christiansen, on Friday, Sept. 16, 1994, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 6 to 8 oclock, at 602 East 3900 South, in Salt Lake City. A second reception will 5e held on Saturday, Sept. 17, in the Fountain Green LDS Church, 200 West 100 South, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The bride is a graduate of Granite High School. She attended Snow College in 1992 and received an associate of science degree from Salt Lake Community College. She is currently employed at Franklin Quest in Salt Lake City and plans to pursue a bachelors degree in secondary education at Weber State University. The bridegroom is a 1989 graduate of North Sanpete High School. He attended Snow College for 18 months and served in the Oklahoma,-OklahomCity LDS Mission. He is attending Salt Lake Community College, studying plumbing, and is employed as an apprentice plumber for Plumbing Plus in Salt Lake City. The couple will make their home in Salt Lake City. Sept. 14. They were married in Manti on Sept. 14, 1934 and have two children, Bonnie Dyches of Layton and Robert of Chandler, AZ, who visited diem last weekend. Reed is a retired sheepman and farmer, and Virginia continues as homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Barker for achieving his eightieth birthday will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, 1994, 3 to 6 p.m., at Fountain Green City Park. He was bom Sept. 27, 1914, in Taylorsville,' Utah, the fourth of 13 children belonging to Dan and Stella Barker. He married Elaine on April 16, 1976, in Jackson Hole, WY, and says its been fun ever since. At 17, he picked spuds in Idaho on his uncles farm and received four cents per 100 pound sack. While in Idaho he worked in lumber camps and competed in lumberjack contests at the old Ponds Lodge. He met actor Wallace Beery and aviator Wiley Post, who rooted him on to victory many times. He became a peace officer in the early 1940s and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was also a member of the Ute Rangers for 18 years. For years he intermittently drove a truck coast to coast. He drove a bus for the Granite School District for 24 years and worked at Mill Hollow Operation Headstart from 1965 to 1980. He also owned and operated the Squealin Pig Cafe in Taylorsville for 33 years, rodeoed in his spare time, and broke and trained horses. Morris says hes thankful for all the good memories and not so thankful for the bad ones. The Barkers have four children: Carol Wood and Shonna Dennison, Taylorsville; Dennis, Newton; and Dale, Mt.
