Margaret Parnell, daughter of Gary and Kathryn Parnell, will perform a vocal solo. Lyn-Thomas; daughter of David and Sherry Thomas, will dance to the song, "I Want This". Melissa Ann Winona, daughter of Danny and Sheri Winona, will present a culinary demonstration. Mickell Sorensen, daughter of Val and Sherie Sorensen, will sing "The Greatest Love of All". Z One of ten contestants will be crowned, receiving a full g ship to Snow College and the city at civic events during the year. repre-'sentin- The girls were recently treated to a trio of workshops where they were taught make-u- p techniques, hairstyles and dress colors by Camille Averett and Shirley Schofield. Michelle Chiniquy drilled the girls on correct walking and turning techniques, stage presence and proper posture. Contestants also rehearsed a group production .choreographed by Nannette Watson. The theme for this year is "One Moment In Time". . . AMP Brent Rex Baxter, Jennifer Crane to wed in Manti Temple SALINA Mr. and Mrs. James A. Crane announce the wedding of their daughter, Jennifer, to Brent Rex Baxter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex D. Baxter, Mt. Pleasant, on Friday, May 6, 1994, in the Manti LDS Temple. Contestants and their talents are as follows: Desrie Edmunds, daughter of Larry and Patty Edmunds, will perform a reading entitled "To My Parents". A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 7 to 9 p.m.in the Salina LDS Stake Center. An open house will be held for the couple on Saturday, May 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.in the Mt. Pleasant LDS Stake Center. Misty Johnson, daughter of Robert and Chris Johnson, will sing "From a Distance". Dawnell Lasater, daughter of Scott and Leslie Skeem, and Gary and Jan Lasater, will perform a modern ballet dance to "Flame in My Heart". Misty Johnson Desrie Edmunds Tiffany Olsen Dianna Olsen, daughter of Kelly and Janet Olsen, will sing "Everything I Do, I Do It For You". Jan Olsen, daughter of Mike and Fawnda Olsen, will recite her original piece, "Youre Always There". The bride is a graduate of North Sevier High School and Snow College. She served a Korea Seoul LDS Mission. She is currently attending Utah State University pursuing a degree in health information management. The bridegroom is a graduate of North Sanpete High School and Snow College. Brent filled an LDS Mission to the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo West. He currently attends Utah State University working towards a degree in public health. Tiffany Olsen, daughter of Darrel and Joan Olsen, will Jennifer Crane and Brent Baxter Cody Christensen, Teresa Evans to wed in Denver Temple COLORADO SPRINGS, C- O- Glenn and Joyce Evans announce the marriage of their daughter, Teresa Lynn, to Cody Rex Christensen, son of Rex and Marie Christensen, Wales, on Saturday, May 7, 1994, in the Denver LDS Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that evening in Colorado Springs. An open house for the couple will be held Saturday, May 14, in the h LDS Ward. The bride graduated from Doherty High School in Colorado Springs and attended Ricks College for two years. The bridegroom graduated from North Sanpete High School and attended Ricks College. He served in the Oklahoma, Tulsa LDS Mission. The couple plan to make their home in Cedar City while they finish their schooling at Southern Utah University where both are majoring in secondary education. Mark Wootton will be the Master of Ceremonies with Amy Giles, Miss Fairview 1993, assisting. ' Rebecka Hendrickson Rebecka will graduate this month from North .Sanpete High School and plans to attend junior college pursuing a - career in physical therapy. She enjoys mountain climbing, water sports and athletic events. She plays softball, piano and sings. She will give a humorous reading as her talent. Debbie Hendrickson Debbie is a 1993 graduate of North Sanpete High School, where she received many outstanding student awards. She is 1 employed oni. at an insur-anceaccounti- agency in Mor- . She hopes to resume her education in the near future, seeking a career in business. She plays piano and guitar, enjoys hiking, fishing, reading and basketball. She will play a piano soi0 for the talent portion of the evening. Allison Aime Allison is a junior at North Sanpete. After graduation, she plans to attend Dixie College to obtain a business degree. She dances and is on the drill team. She has eight years of training in piano and also plays the clarinet. She enjoys watching all sports. She plays softball, volleyball, tennis and powder puff football. She loves to read and spend time with friends. She will present a piano solo at the contest. Katie Bench Katie is completing her junior year at NSH where she is ranked second in her class with a GPA of 3.97. She will serve as of the Honor Society next year. She enjoys studying, math, theater, speech and her family. She has received numerous outstanding student awards. She plans to attend Snow College and then a four-yeinstitution, seekan advanced degree in the ing medical field. She will perform a humorous reading written by her sister Dixie. Lindsee Larsen Lindsee is a junior at North Sanpete, where she has been a cheerleader for the past three years. She has training in piano, clarinet, singing, art and dance. She enjoys camping and She has been involved in sewing, cooking and in cake decorations. After graduation she plans to attend Snow College, seeking a business degree. A jazz dance will be Lindsee s contribution to the evenings talent. Kimberly Larsen Kimberly is completing her junior year at NS, having competed in speech and drama for three years, winning various honors. She enjoys dancing, classical music, sketching, dance, piano and flute. Her future plans include attending Snow College then going on the Southern Utah University, majoring in theater arts with a minor .in dance. Kim will perform a modern dance routine. vice-preside- nt ar Cody Christensen and Teresa Evans Bernard Lasson to observe ninetieth birthday Friday ORE- M- Bernard Grant Lasson will celebrate his 90th birthday on Friday, May 6, 1994. His family will meet for dinner and a program at Coventry Place. Friends and relatives are welcome to call at their home, 1047 East 127 North. Lasson was born in Fairview, May 6, 1904, to Ole and Cynthia Terry Lasson. He grew up there, but spent time on the familys Birdseye ranch. He attended the public schools in Fairview and drove the wooden school bus to North Sanpete High School in Mt. Pleasant the three years he attended, graduating in 1922. He attended Utah State University and BYU, and also spent 31 months serving an LDS mission in the North Central States, Seniors to hold Heritage Fair MT. PLEASAN- T- The Senior Citizens will hold a "Heritage Fair" May 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Center, 65 West Main. Clam chowder and chili will be sold by the bowl or by the quart. Hostesses will be Nola Peterson, Nina Johnson, Susan Fullmer and Marvel laboring mostly in Minnesota and Winnipeg, Canada. Callice Fane He married Hansen, Feb. 4, 1931, in the Manti LDS Temple. They are the parents of five children: Calvin G. Lasson and Mrs. Dale (Mary) Stevens, both of Orem; B. Eugene Lasson, Green River; Mrs. Howard (Elaine) Johnson, Lehi; and Richard O. Lasson, Salt Lake City. He is the sole survivor of ten brothers and sisters. He and Callice have 23 grandchildren and 30 Bernard was a cattle rancher. He lived in Fairview where he served two years as city councilman before moving to the ranch in Birdseye were he and Callice raised their family. They moved to Orem 22 years ago. Bernard G. He and his wife recently returned from a trip to visit her family in Mt. Vernon, OH, visiting Independence, MO, on the way. They also went to Atlantic City and Blackwood, NJ. Jay was born in Roosevelt where his father, Alvin, was a school teacher. The family returned to Fountain Green when he was a youngster where he attended school and graduated from Moroni High School. He served an LDS Mission to the Western and West Central States Mission where he helped open the Ogalala Sioux Indian Mission Reserve in Pine Ridge, SD.
