He was born May 2, 1904, in Oak Creek to Caleb T. and Christina Peterson He Hartley. married Anna Margaret Turpin Oct. 29, 1937, in Fairview; she died Jan. 19, 1946. He was a farmer and coal miner, and a member of the LDS Church. e He was a member of the Fairview Lions Club. He was the fourteenth child in his family.
