I have been in the same position as this citizen in regards to the violation of my Constitutional rights by city fathers. This letter is for that citizen. I would like him to contact me so I can assist him in protecting and fighting for those rights. Those fools, who are our elected officials, are always after our votes, but upon taking their offices, they become tyrants who try to oppress those Constitutional rights they have sworn to Well, I am here protect. to inform all citizens that there is a way to confront these tyrants, who would profess power over "We the People", which they do not possess. We can beat them with their own weapon, and that weapon is the law. It is not the phony ordinances they pass in an attempt to laws Constitutional override levied to control just this kind of tyranny. Mr. Citizen, when elected officials try to tell us where to live, what we can and cannot own, how and where to work, we dont need to listen. Whats next? Will they decide who we can marry? We need to join together and fight to keep our Constitutional rights. We have the power to Sanpete's Leading Newspaper THE PyRRHlID (USPS 365-50- 0) Published Weekly at Mt. PLEASAN- T- Salt Lake County has recently experienced the largest measles outbreak in the United States with 40 cases reported in South Salt Lake, Midvale, Draper and Kearns, according to a memo to the medical community from the Salt Lake County Health Department. The memo was submitted to The Pyramid office by Dr. Gene Speakman, who advised that unimmunized children should be ' immunized immediately. During the past few years, ' over 50,000 measles cases have been reported nationwide with' 10,000 hospitalizations and 140 deaths, mosdy in young, unimmunized children. For those who cant afford it. Public Health Nurse Shirley Lester says that immunizations arent denied to anyone if they cant pay. According to her, a new policy has been started to give children who have reached their first birthday their MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccinations. The Public Health Department, 20 South 100 West, Mt. Pleasant, administers immuniza- - ; tions the second and last Tuesday of each month from 1 to 5 p.m., and the last Wednesday of each month from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Fountain Green residents can j go to either the Mt. And softball! Yes, folks, its that time again. Time to dig out the cleats from the back of the closet, oil down the old ball glove and start digging your toe in the dirt for a few thousand practice swings. Its time to rake over the fields, the grass and even a few umpires. And its time to have no time to yourself again for the next four months if you have any family member(s) involved. Its time to decide whether or not to coach, keep score, volunteer andor show up to sit in the stands and cheer. Any way you look at it its time to volunteer.
