Lie They will be married Friday, Feb. 18, 1994 in Virginia City, NV. A former Mt. Pleasant resident, Mona is the daughter of the late George and Priscilla Seely. Dennis is the son of Elaine and Morris Barker, Fountain Green. The couple will make their home in Cedar Mona Seely and Dennis Taylor City. Etha J. Hansen to celebrate 80th birthday SPRING CITY-- - Dinner-fe- st to benefit education A family party will be held Feb. 21, 1994, to honor Etha Jeanette Hansen on EPHRAIM-- The annual Mexican dinner-fewill be held Saturday, Feb. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ephraim Middle School. The event is designed to provide a fun night of musical enjoyment with friends and authentic Mexican food. For further information, contact Jill Hansen at st her eightieth birthday. She was born Feb. 21, 1914, to Mary Jeanette and William Hartley Shaw in Aurora. She married Lowell F. Hansen on Dec. 23, 1938, in the Manti LDS Temple. 835-420- She is an active member of the LDS Church and has served in many church callings, including her present one as Spring City First Ward librarian and as a visiting teacher. She enjoys quilting, crocheting and gardening, and volunteers to help teach children at Spring City Elementary School. Snow. Colleges Dean of, Students A1 Green will be the speaker. There will be a family home evening at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 21, in the Ephraim Club rooms at Ephraim City Hall. This will be a potluck dinner so everyone should bring a dish to pass and their own dishes. The regional planning meeting for stake leaders will be at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 27, in the Manti Stake Center, followed by a fireside at 7:30. The program is not yet determined. Library lecture to be held Feb. 17 MT. PLEASAN- T- A free lecture on architecture will be presented by University of Utah Professor Peter L. Goss, on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. in the basement of the Mt. Pleasant Library. Fine Arts Club I' ii j MT. PLEASAN- T- The Fine Arts Club enjoyed' their annual Valentines party at a dinner in the Chester Cafe on Feb. 7. Dorothy Jensen, Beth Allred, Ruth Jorgensen, And Virginia Derr were in charge of favors, program, and decorations. Hazel Gunderson gave a reading of Mark Twains work. Esther Christensen told a short story about Valene Watson and directed a game. 0. The dinner party is also designed with the goal of raising money for educational purposes. This years proceeds will go towards funding a scholarship at Snow College, as well as needed educational materials at local schools. Tickets can be purchased from middle school students, members of the Manti High School Spanish Club, or at Top Stops in Ephraim and Manti. Snow College chapter of the National Association of Homebuilders proudly display their Presidents Distinguished Service Award. Vincente Estrada and Celia Corona represent the Mexican community and will coordinate the cooking, decorating and music for the evening. Kents Homebuilding club accepts award at NAHB convention s, Not only did LAS VEGAS the Snow College construction students have a lot of fun and learn some new methods for home-buildiduring a national convention, but they came home with a Presidential award. The student organization attended the National Association of Homebuilders last week. Convention (NAHB) There were 60,000 builders from around the country in attendance. Also, 169 building companies were on hand to host 170 educational seminars and to show off their wares in more than 20 acres of exhibits. The Snow College chapter of the NAHB was included in a Upholstery workshop scheduled banquet during the Spencer Morris, son of Glen and Teri Morris, Wales, received his Eagle Scout Award Feb. 6, in the Wales LDS Ward Grandparents are Building. Fountain Green Elementary School held its annual spelling bee Feb. 10. There were 12 participants. The first three places will compete at the District Spelling Bee to be held on Thursday, Feb. 17 at North Sanpete Middle School. The fourth place winner will be an alternate. The President of the NAHB toured the Utah chapters last spring and found the Snow chapter to be deserving of special recognition.
