Published Golfers EPHRAI- M- to sign up for the wish who day, June 19, should call Snow College, tournament to According director Dean O Driscoll, the tournament is not a but a "friend-raiserThe tournament is primarily for fun. Serious golfers may win prizes like a new car from Ron Greene Chevrolet or free golf clubs from Kirks Pro Shop. "But," says ODriscoll, "we wanted to make sure that golfers of all skill levels could enjoy themselves, so we threw in a bunch of gimmicks and contests to even the fairway a little." Golfers will have to maneuver around tires and unnamed bathroom fixtures-- , sometimes with their own clubs and sometimes with specially built clubs provided them. "The scramble format and the contests like highest score and shortest drive make sure that everyone can win their share of prizes," ODriscoll promises. One need not sign up with a team. Kirk Abegglen looks at signees abilities and makes up teams the night before so each team is somewhat equal. O Driscoll says one year "a gentleman asked me to pair him up with some people he didnt know so he could meet some new people. He has played in both previous Turkey Putts and said it didnt matter who he played with, he would have fun."
