July 9, 10, 11, and 22-2- 9. of Manti - DISCOVER HISTORIC An July 4th celebration complete with games, programs, fun and food, will be held at Manti. The celebration is one of several summer events scheduled in this historic town. The Mormon Miracle Pageant will be held July 9, 10, 11, and on the Manti Temple Hill, and the Sanpete County Fair is at the County 9 August Fairgrounds. A mens softball tournament will be .held Aug. 28-2Visitors to any May 13, 1992 s summer celebrations are invited to stop by the Patton House and the Manti Carnegie Library. The Patton House includes a collection of artifacts from the pioneer era. Tours are available. The library has a historical section and a special section devoted to family histories. The Blackhawk Treaty reenactment has been researched and written by Lynda Lott and Darla Meyer, both Mt. Pleasant. In addition to the theater presentation, a number of Native American groups have been invited to display their crafts and dancing. The event is being funded partly by a grant from the Utah Arts Council. "Meet Me In St. Louis," the August presentation, will be directed by SCT president-elec- t Jenni Smith, of Fairview. Ms Smith has been involved with the North Bend Entertainers Guild for several years. The Guild presents a melodrama in Fairview every July during Pioneer Days. Recent Community Theater productions include, "Id Be A Woman Again," and "A Christmas Carol," starring Kerry Deuel, a talented local merchant who was cast as Scrooge. 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 THERE'S MORE GOING ON-P-LAN TO STAY LONGER AND ENJOY MORE EVENTS IN OTHER SANPETE TOWNS Community theatre The Sanpete Community Theater will present an original production about the Blackhawk Indian Treaty during Horseshoe Mountain Days, in Mt. Pleasant, June 19 and 20. The production is one of three performances scheduled by the group this year. The group will also be performing, "Meet Me In St!
