PLEASAN- T- A bid for 200 water meters and additional engineering services on pending municipal projects were both approved at the April 28 council meeting. According to Bill Way city coordinator the council accepted the low bid of $17,900 from Shulsen Company of Salt Lake City for the meters, which will be installed as part of the citys culinary water update, now under way. The city also authorized an additional $5,000 in engineering services to Sunrise Engineering for additional licensing items just required by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Way said that the new FERC licensing items for the hydroelectric project include an emergency action plan and a flood inundation map. The recommendation will now go to FmHA for approval. Construction on that project has also begun. The council took no action on a request by Way for a computer update to repair or replace city equipment. Ways proposal was to replace old computers that were currently in need of repair to save the city the repair costs, and to charge the cost of equipment updates to next years (1992-9- 3 fiscal) budget. Certain equipment, scheduled for replacement., would be considered in the next years fiscal budget and Ways proposal would have made the equipment available now, Five seek Miss Spring City title All-Sta- te I I All-Sta- two-wee- te Dug-wa- y. nt Citizens propose uses for old depot Continued from page 1 the theatre could occupy the building without the work being completed in its entirety and would be willing to use their resources to improve the building each year. The building has never had plumbing, and as a public facility, restoration plans would have to include restrooms. A restaurant would require more extensive plumbing. Water, sewer and power are all available within a reasonable distance. Neither proposal included lease details, although both alluded to the city retaining ownership of the building and allowing occupancy through a lease ment.
