I e Assault charges filed in Sunday night fight case MT. PLEASANT Kevin Hinton, 21, Mt. Pleasant, and an unnamed juvenile have both been charged with aggravated assault and Hintons lather, Kevin Hinton Sr., also Ml. Pleasant, has been charged with reckless driving, according to Sanpete County Attor- ney Ross Blackham. The charges stem Irom an alleged light at the Hinton residence the night of April 28. assault The aggravated charge against Hinton, a felony; and the reckless driving charge against his father, a misdemeanor, were filed by the county attorney on May 3. In addition charges against other participants arc pending, Blackham said, noting the investigation is not closed Both young Hinton and the juvenile involved in the alleged assault were injured. Hinton reportedly needed over 100 stitches. The juvenile, who was charged the night ol the incident was released from detention to a parent. No court dales have been set, Blackham said, adding that several diflcrcnl courts would be involved due to the diversity of ages and charges. |
