SALT LAKE CIT- Y- A number of women from Sanpete County were among the nearly 500 who attended the annual spring luncheon of the Women at a hotel here Saturday. Eathel Winkleman, Mt. Pleasant, and a member of the board offered the invocation. Mrs. Winkleman also served as a hostess chairwoman and on the public relations committee. Following the luncheon a delightful fashion show was resented by Irene Somerset, a eading Hollywood designer for nearly 50 years. Speaking before students, faculty and local residents on the Snow College campus, Mrs. Mondale said that the "cultural and economic development of a community are intertwined." Restoring old buildings, erecting new attractive ones and creating pieces of art for the community to enjoy is good for local economies," she said. "Art is just good business. Art is something for people in the community to rally around." Mrs. Mondale said that by encouraging students to become involved in the arts, we "unlock their academic potential." She described how schools across the country have opened students lives through art.
