The kits which are put together by the University of Utah for Utah public schools, were a real hit with the students. The kids have loved it. They can handle the displays and can go to an area they are interested in and really study it, said Darrell White, 4th grade teacher. The kits which take approximately 300 man hours each to complete, deal in natural history. The three the students saw Friday pertained to fossils, dinosaurs and archeology. Each kit contains fossils, artifacts, pictures and other types of displays. Some of the fossils are real and some are plaster castings of real fossils that would be too fragile for the students to handle. Some of the displays the children were able to relate to, such as, the pictures from the Dinosaur National Monument Museum which some of the students had visited.
