Show Page Four The Pyramid (. May H)K2 Noritas Nook Many roles played by queen mother By Norita Lancaster 3 What is a woman? Her mate sees her as a wife, com- panion, lover, homemaker, sometimes business partner, the mother of his children, and the most beautiful woman in the world. To her children, she is a guide, comforter, teacher, nurse, sometimes disciplinarian and the best cook on the block. Shes also the one they go to when dad says No. To her neighbors, she is a good friend and confidant, someone to share ideas with and exchange What quality does this woman have that makes her so revered by her family and friends? It is her love. The kind of love that I care about you, you are says special. She is truly the queen in her home. She is a mother. Happy Mothers Day! Our queen of the kitchen and featured Mother's Day cook is Charlene Palmer of Mt. Pleasant. Charlene has good reason for celebrating Mothers Day as she and her husband, Bishop Ken Palmer, have 8 children: Nathan 11, Heidi 10, Matthew 9, Charity 7, Abigail 6, Maggon 4, Annalisa 3, Hayley 1 and they are expecting their ninth child in September. Charlene and her husband own the local bookstore and office supply, and w hen they are not working in their store or on their ranch, they enjoy sports activities and camping trips with their children. For relaxation, she enjoys reading, sewing and painting with oils. She has taught Sunday School and has been a Primary chorister, she is now the Mother Education Leader in the Relief Society organization of the LDS Church. Charlene is originally from Layton and her husband is from Clearfield. They made their home here in Sanpete in 1974. Charlenes first recipe is a favorite of her father-in-law- .
