Show I 'am Four The INnmiui March II. lUS'J Marvella Anderson feted on birthday Social News Noritas Nook Family Living Lack storage space? Try modular units H Norita Lancaster 3 Are you finding that you really aren't xery organized, and that you still lack storage space Well, don't despair, you haxe lots of company. I can offer a few suggestions that might help you, if they apply to your specific needs. Don't forget those terrific modular units that can be moved around to fit the space available and to fill your storage needs They are the decorators modern-daversion to stacked orange crates They can also disguise a problem wall Team some of them up with a movable closet in a long room as a divider, and you have an instant extra room and storage space, too. If you like the rustic look in the kitchen, and need a place to store pots and pans and other kitchen items, place an old ladder across the top of two wall cabinets, or hang it by chains from the ceiling Many items can be hung on the ladder, out of the way, even your herbs to dry. Are you concerned about the extremely high ceilings in your home? If you are thinking about lowering the ceilings to save on energy, and if it will add to the usefulness and decorating charm of your home, why not consider building a sleeping or hideaway loft instead It might not cut the fuel costs too much, but you will be able to enjoy the heat that would otherwise be wasted If you enclosed the loft, you could use it for storage, as you would an extra attic, this then would act much like a lowered ceiling, holding the heat to a loxver level, thus conserving heat. A storage loft above the vehicles in your garage will put wasted space to work, too. An extra dish drainer makes an excellent portable storage container for childrens books or records. Crayons, scissors can be pencils and blunt-nos- e stored in the silverware section. This week's exceptional cook is Sandra Anderson of Fairview. Sandra and her husband Oren have 8 children; Angela 15, Stuart 13, Christopher 11, Arfita 8, Hyrum 6, Ann and Amy 5, and Alyin 3 Sandra not only is the mother of twins, but she herself is a twin. Sandra says that she admires the creative talents of others, but she prefers working and doing things with people. She enjoys jogging and reading, but her favorite love, other than her family, is genealogy. Sandra is an LDS Church Branch y Librarian and an Extracter (genealogy). She has taught Primary, was a R.S. visiting teacher, and has served in other positions in both the stqke and ward level. Being a very busy lady, Sandras philosophy on being organized is to get up early and get her work done, then she has time for the other things that she enjoys. She Is also grateful that her large family pitches in and helps with the chores. Jhese delicious recipes of Sandra's may look complicated, but she says they are easy enough for older children to make.
