Show Page Four Sanpete Shipjxr February 25, lIS2 Construction down 59 percent in Hawks, Templars ready region tourney EPHRAI- M- Manti and North Sanpete High School's basketball teams will converge on the Snow College Activity Center along with eight other teams in Region 10 for Round Robin action February 25, 26 and 27. Manti is currently in fourth place while North Sanpete is in sixth. Wins for both of the teams would bring Manti to a season and North Sanpete to a season. Standings, after the final games are played this weekend, will determine pairings for the opening of Round Robin play. At the present there could conceivably be a three-walie for first place as Richfield the region leader holds an record and Hurricane and Millard stand at 10-each. If Richfield lost while Hurricane and Millard won it would put the three teams at making it a complicated business to determine pairings. The schedule for Round Robin goes as follows with all games in the Snow College Activity Center and all games having an admission price. Thursday Feb. 25, Session games begin at 2 and 3:30 p.m.: Session 2 games at 6:30 and 8 p.m. Friday Feb. 26 action will begin at the same times as Thursday. Manti Templar Coach Wilbur Braithwaite released a Basketball Player's Profile this week. Has a fast defensive shuffle and is now able to set up team offensive action with confidence; Jeff Talbot - An mature athlete with a great team attitude. Perhpas the best driver on the team along the baseline. Never stops learning in practice. Roger Barton - Has great timing and jumping ability. Is basketball wise and makes the smart play. After early season illnesses is now rounding into better condition. Loves the game and gives his all Andy Russell - Now close to 6'3" he is positioning well under both boards to make a Donnie Mackey - Could be the most improved of all players. No doubt one of the best conditioned. An avid runner, he ap- plies himself 100 percent in every practice and shows an ability to shuffle and move. Terrance Mortensen Has deceptive inside with coupled speed unusual gakes. This makes it difficult to cover him inside. Over 6 0" tall he is still growing. Has excellent timing.
