Sanpete team takes second in region RICHFIELD The Sanpete County Horsemanship Team won second place at the State Horse show held here last Saturday. There were 7 teams entered from 4 regions in the State. The Sanpete County Team entered the competition after winning first place in the regional show held in Delta on Tuesday of last week. Each team is required to enter the written test which consisted of 71 questions on parts of the 4-- horse, saddle, bits, unsoundness, genitics, illness and riding information. All team members took the test but only the five highest scores on each team were counted towards the total points. Five members of the learn, entered the halter, fitting and showmanship, , horsemanship and Western riding events. The pole bending and key hole races were run as a team relay with team members timed as a 5 member team, however no baton was passed between members.
