This is not always the case, and many patients with minor complaints or injuries go there expecting a doctor to drop all else and come there immediately. Many times, they will purposely bypass the doctors office because they are unwilling to wait, to spend the gas or the time to get there, and at the same time be disappointed if the doctor in reverse, doesnt do the public. Our system of government allows a and large degree of public information most to know the peoples right guarantees of what is transacted by public officials. Many persons, when running for a public office or before being apDointed or hired to such a job say they abhore the practice of those in public service hiding what goes on, yet the minute they get into the positions themselves, they try to treat the information and records from their offices as somehow being their own private possessions. It is true that recent privacy decisions havelimited some information; but by law certain records are still legally available to the public. Public servants, no mater what their personal feelings about those involved in the actions recounted on the records, should make available those records which the law states are public information. In the meantime priorities must be made, and whle I appreciate their concern and express my willingness to see them as soon as possible, they must also realize that often they can be seen faster, cheaper and better by coming to the office, certain documents and this should be allowed. At the very least, a better decision can be made for transfer. Hospitals are for hospitalized patients and for services beyond which the doctor can render in his office.
