Overmoe is a student at the University of Utah studying mass communications with a public relations emphasis. He plans to receive a B.S. degree from the university this December. Alan was selected for the internship by Brent Checketts, assistant staff manager for the Mountain h Public Relations Department. The internship is designed to give students practical experience in the writing, photography and audio-visuaspects of public relations, says Checketts. The experience offered by this internship will be of great help when applying for jobs, says Alan. It is one of the better internships available through the university. Overmoe has worked for the Daily Utah Chronicle newspaper on the U of U campus for the past Bell-Uta- Bell-Uta- al three years. He has been both a photographer and an account executive.
