Kaysville Junior High teacher of the month for October is Coach" Reese. HE IS married and has four chil- dren. He lives in Pleasant View. His wife Jennette works for the IRS. When Coach Reese isn't busy working, he enjoys hobbies such as hunting and gardening. COACH REESE was born and raised in Cache Valley. Some of his jobs in the past have, been mostly construction related. He worked in construction work for 12 years. After construction he went into education. He presently works at Kaysville Junior High as a gym teacher and a health teacher. THE MAIN problem with the education system in Utah, said Reese, is that the old ways of students have faded out." dis-cipli- He thinks that if the students were better disciplined, education would improve. He feels that more parental support would make better students. Education would improve if more students were made to do their work. These opinions have been formed by 16 years of experience in education. COACH REESE said that he would rather be a normal, healthy person, rather than a famous or popular person. He says that you dont know what it is to be healthy and normal until that gift is gone. ICJH officers elected He says that he would someday like to become a teacher and follow in Mr. Roberts footsteps. By ROBERT MARSDEN The seventh grade elections for the 1985-8- 6 school year at Kaysville Junior High have finally taken place. ROGER Gardiner, enjoys fine art, ballet and modern dance. He also enjoys going to church, reading the scriptures and learning. Ro JARED Call was elected as president with Roger Gardiner elected as vice president. The office of secretary was claimed by Troy ger also says that he loves sports and is a good hunter. Troy DeDecker, the new secretary, loves sports, likes skateboard- ing, and thinks new wave is awesome. He says he is excited about his new position as secretary and will try to fill it the best he can. The head cook at KJH says that she thinks that the National School Lunch Week is a good thing because it makes kids appreciate what they have, living here in the United States, especially freedom. To celebrate the National School Lunch Week, the cooks served a meal from a different part of the country each day. Orchestras to perform LAYTON - Two orchestras of Layton High School and Central Davis Junior High will perform in concert on Wednesday, Oct. 30 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Layton High School auditorium.
