La Strange Bales of 21 20 W. 1225 N., Layton, died Monday, Sept. 9, 1985 at the Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City of diabetes. SHE HAD lived in Layton since LaS-trang- Puyallup, Wash.; her Virgie K. Clark dies at age 64 e. Nel- Funeral services were held Thursday at Lindquists Layton Mortuary with Bishop DeLoy E. Walter I. Edgar SHE HAD been a bookkeeper at Hill Air Force Base. She lived in Union for 21 years and in Layton for 43 fishing, camping and traveling with their family. years. WALTER graduated from Granite County High School in Philipsburg, Mont, in 1940 and attended the University of Washington in Seattle, majoring in forestry. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War where he served with the U.S. Navy and retired from the U.S. Air Force at Patrick AFB, Fla. in 1965. He was stationed at Misawa AB Japan, Nagoya AB, Japan, Ramstein AB Germany, etc. where he and his SHE GRADUATED from Jordan High School and had been a cheer- leader. She was a member of the Layton 20th Ward where she had been a Primary teacher and Cub Scout den mother. SHE WAS president of the Boots and Saddle Riding Club. She had been a notary public for the State of Utah for 20 years. Surviving are four sons, Dahl L. Clark Jr., Oklahoma City, Okla.; Kent D. Clark, Brigham City; Russell W. Clark, Panorama City, Calif.; Timothy A. WALTER EDGAR Walter Irvine Edgar, 63, formerly of Roy, recently of 56 Sunset Drive, Layton, died Friday, Sept. 6, 1985 at his home of cancer. HE WAS bom June 8, 1922 in Hall, Mont., the son of Mrs. Marcia Franzman, Philipsburg, Mont, and the recent Walter Roy Edgar. He spent most of his young life in Philipsburg, Mont. He and his family lived in Kaysville for several years prior to moving to Layton. He married Laura D. Sorensen Nov. 25, 1948 in Philipsburg, Mont, and had in 37 years together Surviving are his widow of Roy, one son, Lieutenant Commander Les I. Edgar, of the U.S. Navy, Alameda, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs.. Michael (Sherry E.) Hansen, Layton; and nine grandchildren. ALSO SURVIVING are his mother, Mrs. Marcia Franzman, and a sister, Mrs. Harold (Maxine) C:dsis, both of Philipsburg, Moi., Walt requested no viewing or funeral services as he wanted his friends to remember him as he was before his illness. DURING THE course, students were taught the packing and repair of parachutes, life rafts and aircrew clothing using sewing machines, solvents and cements. They also earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. MOFFITT HE WAS born Feb. 22, 1917 in LizOgden, a son of Raymond and zie Lorena Hunt. He married Wanda Dixon on Oct. 5, 1936 in Ogden. David Moffitt services held 68, HE HAD lived in the Ogden area of his life. He attended the Ogden City Schools. HE WAS active in the Clearfield Senior Citizens Organization. He had worked as a switchman for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad. SURVIVING are his widow of Clearfield and four sons, Kenneth R. Hunt Jr., Morgan; Robert Hunt, Kim Hunt and Blair Hunt, all of Ogden; 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Bill Hunt, River-dalBob Hunt, El Paso, Tex.; Roy; Sharon HenPearson, Janet dry, Riverdale. HE WAS preceded in death by one brother.
