Show E7 The Salt Lake Tribune ARTS Sunday, August 6, 1995 COMING UP MUSIC BUSY IN PARK CITY Musicians at the Park City International Music Festival are fine-tuning their instruments in preparation for five concerts this week — including a joint collaboration on Friday between two Bachauer goldmedallaureates. Tonight at 8 p.m., a program titled “Innovations”is on tap at Park City Community on “All the Things You Are” featuring Peter Gordon, a French-horn virtuoso who is filling in for Robert Routch, who suffered a lip injury, said Russell Harlow, festival co-director. On Thursdaythrough Satur- day, festival music-making moves to the Park City Education Center auditorium. Works by Ravel, Martinu, Poulene and Faure highlight Thursday's 8 p.m. program,titled “Impressions of France.” The evening's major work is Faure’s Quartet in C Minor, featuring Oleh Krysta, violin; Leslie Harlow, viola; Maureen McDermott, cello and Michael Church at the intersection of Utah Highway 224 and Silver Spring Road, just outside the city limits. Ensembles from quintets to duos will perform works by Max Reger, Rachmaninoff and Alexander Glazu- ternational Piano Competition goid-medalist Gail Niwa and the Festival Orchestra in Mozart's Double Piano Concerto, nov. and pieces by Rossini.
