Show Millard County Progress, Fillmore, Utah 84631 Friday, Aug. 20, Flowell Features "7 By Virgie Ivie Mrs. Phyllis Murray and Kathy granddaughter, Moore, returned home Aug. 11 after spending a month's vacation as guests of Phyllis son, James Murray, his wife, Susan, and their two small daughters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They also visited friends in Lordsburg where Phyllis and her late husband, Jack Murray, lived before moving to Flowell. Mrs. Jim Keeney came from Denver to spend a week with her sister Phyllis and family. Jim and Susan took all of their guests to Calif, to visit Knotts Berry Farm, the Crystal Cathedral and Disneyland. Nell came from Denver when Jack was very ill and helped her sister, Jim and Susan Phyllis. wanted to do something special for her to show their gratitude to Aunt Nell for her kindness to the family, therefore the trip to Stephanie weighed 6 lb. and was 20 in. tall. Their parents are Acil and Vicky Allen Butcher. Ruth Allen went with her son, Dean, and wife. The next day, Aug. 14, Dean and Shirley were happy to be presented with another grandchild, a little 7 lb. 14 oz., 22 in. tall boy bom to their son, Danny, and his wife, La Von, at the Fillmore Hospital. Little Dustin Scott Allen has two brothers, Danny and Gary, and a sister, Tami, who are anxious to help care for 4 oz. him. On July 15 she went to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to visit her son, John Holdaway. During her two week stay they toured the Canadian Rockies which inculded 1 ake Louise, Jasper Park and Banff National Park. Upon returning home she rested for a week then on Aug. 8 left for Afton, Wyoming with her son, Scott Holdaway, of San Francisco and granddaughter, Denise Holdaway, of Washington D C. In Afton they met Ferns son, Don, wife, Doris, and their two children, Eric and Susan Holdaway, and they all spent four days camping at Greys River in Star Valley, Wyoming. I ern, Scott and Denise returned to Fillmore Aug. 12. Scott left for San grandchildren and one greatgrandchild, all in all there were 25. On Saturday, Aug. 14, an open house and birthday party was held at the home of James and Angie Green. This event was to celebrate Angies 65th birthday. There were no invitations sent and the guests were requested not to bring gifts. A fancy beautifully gout met luncheon consisting of a meat loaf cake decorated with five candles and the letters 65, ham, cheese and liver cubes, and saucers of rich sweet cream was served to the guests. One beautiful Christmas Day, I ee who was very pregnant, had her dinner well under way including a big turkey in the oven, suddenly called to Matt and told him he would have to take her to the hospital. Their son, Bob, was born to them on this Christmas Day.
