Anderson 45, of Fairview who died on March 30, 1974 in the Valley West Hospital in Granger of natural causes. Services were under the direction of the North Ward Bishopric with Counselor Don C. Hansen conducting. The family prayer was offered by Hayden Llewllyn; prelude and postlude music at the organ was by Koleen Peterson; invocation, William A. Bohne; hymn, combined Fairview North and South Ward Choirs conducted by Ellen Tucker; vocal solo, Norman Brunger, accompanied by Jeanette Terry,; speaker, Ted R. Mower; vocal duet, Edward Bench and Denise Bench; remarks, Don C. Hansen; hymn, combined choir; and benediction, Robert Nielsen. The grave was dedicated by Golden Carls ton. Pallberers were Ralph McDonald, Harold Brown, Clegg Anderson, Juan Nielsen, Kick Kubata and Abe Vance. Experts rites were conducted at the graveside by American Legion Post No. 55. The national average price of 82.7 cents a pound received by all producers who sold wool in 1973 was 10.7 cents above the support level of 72 cents a pound. The 1974 support prices are 72 cents a pound for wool and 80.2 cents a pound for mohair, the same as for 1973. The average prices received by producers during the first three months of 1974 are 72 5 cents a pound for wool and $1.73 cents per pound for mohair. This is the first year in the history of the Wool Act in which market prices for wool have exceeded support prices. In recent years, annual payments on wool and unshorn lambs under this program have ranged from about $50 to $100 million. She was born December 3, 1895 at Spring City to Orson and Hulda Zabriskie Allred. Married Pratt Osborne May 8, 1918, Manti LDS Temple. He died May 28, 1955. Later married Edwin Simons, 1958. She was an ardent member of the LDS Church serving faithfully in the ward. Very impressive funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Spring City ward chapel for Vurleen Allred Osborne Simons. Sherman Strate, counselor in the ward bishopric conducted the services. The Family Prayer was given by Devon Osborne, Prelude and postlude music was played by Leslie Clark, Song, Spring City Ward choir conducted by Donna Larsen, accompanist, Leslie Clark, Invocation, Steven Osborne, Strate, Remarks, Speaker, counselor President Roger M. Allred, Vocal Duet, Therald and Jerry Rigby, Speaker, Mildred Peterson, Song, Spring City Ward Choir, Tribute, Kenneth Osborne, Vocal Duet, Therald and Jerry Rigby, Benediction, Chesley Allred. The profuse floral offerings were cared for at the chapel by Evona Justesen and Ilena Beck. The floral pieces were carried from the chapel by grandchildren and members of the ward choir. Interment was in the city cemetery under the direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home. Dedication of the grave was given by Virgus Osborne. The Pallbearers were Michael Tucker, Steven Osborne, Jerry Rigby, Cory Nielsen, Trace Nielsen, Osborne, Wayne Michael Osborne, David Rigby. The immediate family members were all present at the services and burial. Many relatives and friends from other communities. As many as 70,000 ants may go in and out of a nest daily. Your sympathy at this time is a comfort to us. The Family of Sandy Bell Sandy Bell Leona Gleason Ovard, 72, of Orem died of natural causes March 31, 1974 at her home. She Was born June 4, 1901 at Spring City, Sanpete County to Peter M. and Freda Christina Johnson Christensen. She married John Streator Gleason, Oct. 18, 1922 Salt Lake City. He died in 1949. Married Jesse Hazen Ovard. April 9, 1956, Las Vegas. He died in 1965. She was a member of the LDS Church. Former employee J. C. Penny Company, Salt Lake City. Survisors are, son, daughters, John S. Gleason, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Russell (Beverly) John, Orem; Mrs. .James (Marlene) Lord, Taylorsville; Mrs. Robert (Beth) Orchard, Phoenix, Arizona; 24 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brother, sisters, Howard Christensen, Chicago; Mrs. Robert (Gertrude) Blain, Mrs. Roy (Edna) Brown, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Len (Golda) Smith, West Jordan; Mrs. Myrle Brown, Magna; Mrs. Merrill (Beth) Nelson, Kearns. Funeral services and burial, Wednesday, Salt Lake City. of injuries suffered in a mine accident on April 1, in Miami, Arizona. Mr. Bell was at the bottom of a 900 foot shaft when the mishap occurred. Apparently a large bucket which had been lowered to pick up the men broke and tipped some machinery onto the men. Another man who was working with Mr. Bell in the mine was also killed. Mr. Bell had been working in the mine installing the shaft for the two weeks before the accident. He and his wife had been home for Christmas and three months and had just recently returned to Miami, Airzona. Mr. Bell was born on March 19, 1920 in Castle Gate, to Alexander J. and Isabella Hartley Bell Sr. He married CharletBarentsen on July 1, 1939 in Nephi. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a miner and a member of the American Legion. He was a Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; sons, daughter, William A., Kearns; Mrs. Rodney (Carol Anderson, Fairvew; Marquardson, Wendell Fae) Former resident dies in Wyoming Funeral services were held in Green River, Wyoming for former Fairview resident David Lyle Anderson, 71 of Green River, who died of natural causes on April 2, 1974 at his home. He was born on January 7, 1903 in Fairview to John A. and Lucinda Sanderson Anderson., He married Laurena Pearl Stewart on June 16, 1933. The marriage was solemnized on June 11, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an employee of the Sweetwater County Roads and Bridges Department and was a rancher. Survivors include his wife; sons, daughters, David Lyle Jr., Grassy Plains, B.C.; Bruce Dean, Green River; Mrs. Bert (Eutona) Wilde, McKinnon, Wyo.; Mrs. Floyd (Saron) Logan, Grassy Plains; Mrs. Dee (Cleone) Donahoo, Lone Tree 16 Wyo.; grandchildren; brothers, sisters, John Clifton, Green River; Leslie Van, Robert Buena Tilliston all of Salt Lake City; Eva Watson, Mount Pleasant and Jessie Youngberg of Logan. Services were held in the McKinnon LDS Ward Chapel and burial was in the McKinnon Cemetery. The famous Casey Jones was connected with the Mississippi division of the Illinois Central Railroad. Services were under the direction of the South Ward Bishopric with Bishop Leon Nielsen conducting. The family prayer at the home was offered by William A. Bell; prelude and postlude music at the organ was by Virginia Mower; hymn, Sometime Well was the song by Understand the Fairview North and South Ward combined Choir and was directed by George Collard; invocation, Rodney Anderson; speaker, Dean Anderson; vocal solo, In the Garden by Norman Brunger and accompanied by Virginia Mower; speaker, President LaMar H. Stewart; remarks, Bishop Nielsen; vocal number, Beyond the Sunset by Maxine Anderson, Sandra Anderson, Linda Bohne, Vicki Collard, Ada Kinsman, and Linda Marsh and accompanied by Virginia Mower; benediction Glen W. Bell. The grave was dedicated by James E. Bell. Pallbearers were David Christensen, John C. Burnside, Reed Tucker, Lloyd Stewart, and Jack Tucker. Honorary Pallbearers were Kenneth Moeller, Mike Laity, Whit Amundsen and Donald Ramey. Military rites were conducted under the direction of American Legion Post No. 55.
