Show OBITUARIES services pending Eliza Christina Anderson 87, died March 1, 1971 in a Nephi rest home of natural causes. She was born March 30, 1883 in Fountain Green to Jens Jorgen Anderson and Ane e Kd-stin- Eskeldsen Anderson, and had resided in Fountain Green her entire life with exception of the last two years which were spent in the rest home. She married Neils Cornelius Jensen, September 12, 1906 in the Manti Temple. He died June 21, 1939. Verne, a grown son, was killed in a mine accident Feb. 7, 1936. as Mrs. Jensen was known to her many friends and relatives, always took an active part in her community and church. She was a Primary teacher for many years, sang in the ward choir and was active in the Relief Society. She was a member of the Danish Club whose objective was to keep alive the Danish language and record some of their interesting traditions. For many years, she also kept a record of the deaths and funerals in her ward. Mrs. Jensen loved being involved with people, and many lives were brightened and touched by her ready wit and humor. She shared generously with those in need, and these things kept her active, happy and alert. She will always be remembered for her kind deeds. Funeral serves were held for Mrs. Jensen in the Fountain Green Ward Chapel, March 4, with Bishop F. Booth Cook officiating. Family prayer was offered by a nephew, ciarence Anderson. Prelude and postlude music by Geraldine Johnson; the Ward Choir, under the direction .of Rita Allred and Geraldine Johnson, sang two hymn; invocation by Mbnt Nielpn; remarks, Bp. Cook; speakers: Irvin P. Oldroyd, nephew, and Joseph R. Christiansen; vocal solo by a Kent Paul Larson, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Morgan (Pauline) Larsen; benediction, William V. Oldroyd, nephew; dedication of the grave, Robert Jensen, a grandson. Pallbearers were grandsons, Carl Jensen, Dennis Jensen, Kenneth Jensen, Boyd Jensen, Mark Mardsen; Paul H. and Jensen. Jensen who is principal of the Junior High School at Roosevelt; Mrs. Paul (Cora) Madsen, an employee of Z.C.M.l. Salt Lake City; Dean Jensen, a carpenter at Hill Air Force Base, Ogden; Ray, owner and manager of the Weltha Workman Tait, Spring City, passed away of natural cases, March 9, 1971, at her home. She was born January 5, 1902 at Hatch, Utah to George A. and Rhoana Henrie Workman. She married Emery H. Tait, August 29, 1919. The marriage was later solemnized, September 17. 1919 in the St. George LDS Temple. Her husband preceded her in death on May 26, 1965. She was an active member of the LDS Church and the DUP. Elliott . . . dies at 57 Former resident dies on coast Funeral services were held March 3 in the Curtis McKay Cottonwood Mortuary, Salt Lake City, for Margaret Virginia Stansfield Elliott, 57, who died February 27, California, 1971 in aPaloAlto, nursing home following a series of strokes. She was born August, 31, 1913 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, a daughter of Frederick and Mary Carter Stansfield. She was married to Earl Francis Elliott Correy, and had taught Primary. Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Virginia Elliott of San Jose, California, and Mrs. Richard (Vickie Ruth) Carroll of Sunnyvale, California; one and the granddaughter; following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Venetta S. Orrock, SunMrs. nyvale, California; Hilden (Roma S.) Tucker, Orem; Leland S. Stansfield, Palo Alto, California; Wayne J. Stansfield, Mt. Pleasant; Yale C. Stansfield, Redwood City, California; Russell N. StanMac and sfield, Springville; Earl Stansfield, both of Salt Lake City. Funeral services included family prayer by Samuel O. Services were under the direction of the bishopric with counselor Norman Brunger conducting. She was born in Spring City, Sept. 16, 1884, to John and Matilda Allred Robinson. She married Walter Christensen July 1909, Manti. He died in 1942. Survivors are sons, daughters, Ray, Orem; Reid, Menlo Park, Calif.; Mrs. Erma Taylor, Mrs. Hazel Cooper, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ramona Baughman, Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 grand15 children, greatand a grandchildren, Brothers, Arthur, Vernell, Provo; stepbrother, Henry Schofield, Spring City. The funeral services and burial were held at Salt Lake City on Saturday. Marie, and Vic Willey and two children of Salt Lake spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Newel Rees and Family. They didn't know what the surprise was to be until they got there. The Pedersons son Wallace Anderson, Wallace Anderson, his wife Norma, and two children Maria and Bert had flown home from Tokyo, Japan for a short visit Wallace is in the U. S. Air Force and they have spent the past two years and will spend the next two years in Tokyo. Lois Esther" was the name given the new baby girl of the Benedicts. The little girl is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Benedict. HOSPITAL NEWS Bernard who Nielson, underwent surgery March 2 in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, was reported to be improving. Mr. Clarence Johnson is in the in Nephi for treatment. His children came to Juab Hospital visit with him and their mother, Sunday. Mr. Trent Johnson came from McGill, Nevada; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Johnson from Kearns, and Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Carlson from Sandy.
