Christensen of Preston, Idaho, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Clarice Christensen, of Forestville, Maryland to William C. Cox of Warrington, Virginia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle N, Cox of Fair-vie- Former resident Sarah Allred . . . sen observes birthday The 92nd birthday of Allred of Spring City observed at the home and Mrs. Denzil (Loa) at Las Vegas, Nevada, Oldest resident of Fairview notes of Spring City notes 92nd year George will be of Mr. Aiken March 25. 98 years Mrs. Sarah Francis Allred Larsen, Fairviews oldest citizen, celebrated her 98th birthday anniversary Monday, March 20, at a rest home in Nephi. She was honored Sunday at an intimate family gathering at the home in Nephi. Mrs. Larsen was born March 20, 1869, in Fairview, a daughter of Mary Francis Vance and Martin Allred. She married Peter Larsen and they were later divorced. She is the mother of two children, Frank Larsen, who is 75 years old of Fairview, and Mrs. Loretta Zimmerman of Los Angeles, California. She has four grandchildren, eight and one great grandchildren great-gregrandchild. Mrs. Larsen lived in her home on Fairviews southeast side until she was 92 when she moved to Nephi. She still has her home in Fairview'. Mrs. Larsen was active in the DUP for many years and was active in the LDS Church where she served many years as a visiting teacher. Among those attending the birthday celebration Sunday for Mrs. Larsen were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Larsen, Fairview; Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Johnson, all of Fountain Green. Mr. Allred was born at Spring City March 25, 1875, a son of Samuel and Elizabeth Diantha Allred. He married Effie Mary Ann Allred December 29, 1898, in Spring City and the marriage was later solemnized at the Manti Temple. Mrs. Allred died June 24, 1952. Being a faithful member of the LDS Church he served in the elders quorum presidency for 15 years, was secretary and treasurer for the Old Peoples Committee for seven years, a Sunday School teacher, member of the Sunday School enlistment committee, ward teacher for many years. He worked in the priesthood and auxiliary at Spring City leader at forum 4-- George Allred 92 on Saturday ... His occupation has been that of sheep shearing and carpentry work. He helped construct many local homes and buildings in the county. Mr. Allreds memory is very keen for former and present activities and events. He is observant of current happenings and has a love for his family and friends. He has three daughters, Mrs. Denzil (Loa) Aiken, Las Vegas; Mrs. Jesse (Edra) PeterMrs. Wilford son, Payson; (Gwenna) Bauer of Susanville, California. He has completed an LDS mission to the Central Atlantic States. He has traveled through Europe and the Middle East in his assignment as an electronics engineer for the U. S. Department of Defense. Mr Bueklar was born at Port Moroni, Arizona, coming to Utah at the age of 21 years and settling in Cireleville. He married Elizabeth West-woo- d in 1902 and he made his home at Cireleville until two years ago when his health failed and since has lived with his two daughters. He has eleven grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bushman have returned home from a seven-week- s vacation trip. In Santa Barbara, Calif., they visited their son, Bob Bushman and family, and in Blythe they visited Cecil and Frank Swen-seIn Yuma, Arizona, they visited Grand and Glen Canyons on the return trip. Berti, local grocery-maundei-wen- t an appendectomy last Friday at the local hospital. n, Marion Tucker notes 84th birthday event Marion Tucker of Fairview celebrated his 84th birthday anniversary at a dinner and family reunion in his honor at his home Sat. of last week. 59 femily members were present to enjoy the occasion with him. Mr. Tucker was born March 15, 1883, in Fairview', a son of Amasa and Martha Anderson Tucker. He married Malinda Peterson and they are the parents of nine children, Mrs. (Clea) Ericksen, Sunny-sidWinn Tucker, Mt. Pleasant; Floyd Tucker, Sunnyside; Mrs. Arthur (Donna) Winters, Roy; Ralph Tucker, Murray; Mrs. Leon (Una Lee) Guston, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Keith (Ruby) Hansen, Mrs. Buford (Elna) Christensen, and Jackson Tucker, all of Fairview. He has 27 grandchildren and Mrs. 21 great grandchildren. Tucker died several years ago. Mr. Tucker is well known in music circles in the town. He has taken part in many musicals, church and other public He has sung for programs. many funerals and is a member of the ward choir. Mr. Tucker is still active in music and participates in a quartet. Mr. Tucker was employed for many years as foreman for the state road and also operated a farm. He has always been active in civic and church affairs and served several years in the city council. He served as MIA superintendent and is a high priest in the LDS Church. Still very active, Mr. Tucker takes care of his own home and can be found helping his family on many occasions. IMmo!!
