Cheryl and Toni Heller and their children from Midland, Texas, Dawn Strong and family from Orem, and Pamela and David Dangerfteld and children traveled from Chicago to be here. Neva and Otto Ludwig of Klamath Falls, Oregon were joined by their children, Janice of Salt Lake and Karl and Karie y from Provo. Pan mountain and part desert, Juab County has a very definite and singular diversity that has great scientific appeal. Agricultural experts from all over the world have studied the dry farming methods employed here. Archeologists, geologists, ecologists, and students are highly enthusiastic about the region. The Deep Creek Mountains here date back to Archaic Man, (around 12,000 B.C.) and have contributed much to our understanding of earths history. Much, however, still lies buried, and will remain a challenge for many years to come. Drum Mountain, Funierole Butte, and Paul Bunyon's Wood Pile are favorites and highly unusual tourist attractions. The Nebo Loop is another special attraction; a delightful scenic drive from which can be viewed the farms and meadow lands of three counties. The beauty of high mountain scenery and the view below is a plus you won't w ant to miss. Yuba Lake is a great place to cool off. It offers a 14 'mile long unimpeded run on water skis, excellent boating and swimming, and is open the year around for picknicking and fishing. It has camping amenities and is a safe and uncrowded place for family outings. Eureka is a semi-ghotown. It had a population of 8.000 at one time, and in the period between 1869 and 1964 produced some $5 million worth of gold, silver, boom copper, lead, and zinc. It was a town, and very active in the affairs of the state, both economically and politically. J.C. Penney built his second store here. The first Catholic Church in Utah was built and is still in use here. Little Sahara Recreation Area, a 60,000 acre sandbox, separated by a dividing fence, offers sand play for quiet enjoyment such as: sunbathing, picnicking, hiking, photography, and nature studies. The rest is set aside for recreation vehicles. This area is a phenomenal success, with annual races and competitions scheduled, drawing many competitors to the area. Over 300 campsites with sanitary facilities arc provided for visitors. Bonds. market thats been languishing for decades. That's considered to be among the most depressed of all investment areas. And now Merrill Lynch is recommending them as long term investments. Even for cautious investors. Why? Because our top analysts are in agreement that bonds represent an extraordinary investment opportunity for the early 8()'s. 'I hey believe that bonds are special today because theres never been a set of circumstances quite like the present one. For one thing, interest rates are extraordinarily high. Even after adjust- ing for high inflation, bonds offer the most generous returns in over 30 years. l;or another, bond market prospects are excellent as inflation comes under control. ( iijnriKhf W Merrill I Muh. ( Combine these two factors and w e firmly believe they add up to a bull mar- ket in bonds opening up in the KO's. You're probably accustomed to investments that don't even keep up with inflation. But. if interest rates decline only moderately, total returns from holding top quality bonds that is, the bond's yield plus capital gains can far outpace the rate of inflation. This isn't to say that the bond market volatility is behind us. Indeed, we do expect some uncertain periods in the process of turning the corner. The point is that the corner is being turned. What makes Merrill Lynch so confident? We have several reasons, ranging from the change in government policies to more effective Federal Reserve procedures to fight inflation. Wed like to give you our thinking in more detail. 'Icll you Specifically how and why we think the bond markets ate going to act. And we'd like to tell you all this now. So you can act while the opportunities are still available. hen c. Icnncr & Smith Iru.
