There were 42 family members present. The family brought their mother, Georgia, who is an extended patient at Fillmore Hospital. down for this special occasion. Homer and Thelma (Brunson) Oldfield had visitors during the week of June 12. They were very happy to have Thelma's son Richard Burt, his wife Gail, and their children. Derik and Lisa, come from Jackson, New Gail's uncle. Jersey. Bob Gillespie from Pasadena. California, met them here to spend a few days. Also coming to visit the Oldfields and other family members were Thelmas daughter. Dorothy Matnis. her sons Steven and Scotty, and daughter Brooke from Price, who were overnight guests. On Sunday they left for Ely. Nevada to visit Thelmas oldest daughter. Virginia Ashby and family. After a few days there, they were taking a scenic route home. On Monday. June 22. Homer and Thelma had sonic very dear friends from the mobile home park in Barstow, California. stop for a overnight visit. Al and Gara Hilderman and the Oldfields lived in Bartstow at this park at the same time until Homer and Thclnia moved to Kanosh. The Hildermans were on their way to Billings, for Gara's Montana, 1937 nursing class reunion. On June 21 an vet impressive service was conducted at the Clearfield Ward Chapel. Mr. and Mrs. Gail children Hunter and San Dee and Richard, were visitors at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Taff Watts in Kanosh and Mrs. Zina Hunter in Fillmore. Gail came early in the week so he could help his mother regulate and install her sprinkling system at her home in Fillmore. On Friday they took their daughter. San Dee, to Provo to attend summer school. They also visited their son Robert and his wife Karin in Salt Lake. Robert is attending the University of Utah and his wife is teaching in the Granite School District. Sunday. Gail and Regina Hunter traveled to Cedar City to attend the missionary farewell for their nephew. Troy Lunt, before going on to Bonita. California, to their home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Watts, former residents of Kanosh. were overnights guest of Neca and Taft Watts on Wednesday evening. They had been in Provo for two weeks at the bedside of their oldest son. The three children of Janet and Roy Barton of Parowan spent a week in Kanosh with their Willard grandparents. and Dathel. They enjoyed playing with their Whitaker and Higgs cousins. Janet was one of the advisors at Girls Camp for her Parowan ward during that week. Keith Heki. son of Jerry and Annette Heki of Las Vegas is spending the summer in Kanosh helping his uncle Melvin Whitaker on the farm. Chad son Whitaker, of Melvin and Lorraine, is helping his uncle Glen at the Blue Diamond ranch in Nevada near Eureka. Others in attendance were Sherrys brother Trov and her nephew Cameron from Roosevelt: Mrs. David Christensen; Mrs. Don Rasmussen. and Tonya Paxton. Also coming from Roosevelt was Sherrys grandmother Holgate. Frank Paxton and his two hired men. Ferron Carrol and Tom Angle, front the Blue Diamond Ranch in Eureka, Nevada, have been in Kanosh helping Franks father Taft for two weeks. Don and Carolyn (Whitaker) Wunderlich and five children are guests of her mother, Maria Whitaker. Don left to go back to work, leaving his family for a weeks stay in Kanosh. Recently, their daughter Sheri entered the Teen party at her home with some of her friends. Her birthday was made even more special when she was baptized later that day at the Kanosh Ward Chapel by Geve Christensen. Others gathering at World pageant in St. George, where the finals were held. Bill and Reba (Kimball) Williams from Rancho Mirage in California will be spending some lime in Kanosh during their summer tour. Sunday evening, June 28. The Holden Ward held a family home evening at the park Monday evening. Good food and a short program were enjoyed by those attending. Mrs. Berniece Stephenson and two of her grandchildren from California have been visiting at the home of her mother, Flmeda Turner. The John and Gorden Stephenson families have now moved to Salmon, Idaho. They have both sold their homes here. We are pleased to report that the Dean Bennett family will be moving to Holden. They have purchased the Flossie Stephenson home. We certainly welcome them here. Mrs. Marjorie Dobson and two children were guests at the home of Lester and Jean Dobson.
