At the Dixie College Concert Choir Awards Banquet held Monday evening, May 18. 1981, Forrest was presented w ith a plaque as its "Most Outstanding Bass vocalist. He also has received the Jessie Perry vocal scholarship to the University of Utah, where he plans to further his education next year. In addition to his membership ip the Dixie College Concert Choir. Forrest is a member of the Delta Psi Omega drama group and the "Counterpoints, a vocal performing group. He has toured with all three groups this past year, touring the state of California with Delta Psi Omega, southern California with the Concert Choir, and Utah and Arizona with the "Counterpoints." He was selected to perform solo numbers for the groups during their tours. In addition to his singing and performing. Forrest choreographed some of the dance scenes for the "Counterpoints." Forrest is the son of Clayton and Marjorie Barton of Pahvant and is a 1979 graduate of Millard High School, w here he performed in the high school Fiddler on musicals, "Oklahoma, the Roof", and Carousel.
