Blood is offered on the basis of need. This blood is all from volun- teers and of the highest quality. Hospitals are charged a processing fee only, w hich is covered by health insurance carriers. Hospitals under the Intermountain Health Care System will accept actual blood replacement from Red Cross. However, they do require that the Red patient request Cross assistance for blood replacement at the time of admission. It is the responsibility of the East Millard communities to help meet the growing demand for blood.
